I wasnt worried that much but I am now. If its burning her, it needs washing out and I cant get near her, she has teeth out if you touch the fur near there. Shes not threatening us as such, she just doesnt want to be touched and is getting her teeth out and darting away. I dunno what she would do if we put her on a lead, I reckon someone could get bitten, shes in a panic.

Managed to get her cleaned up a bit. We held her and put a sopping wet flannel on her wound.







The poor thing was in pain and frightened, she had her teeth out then tried to lick my face and I felt so sorry for her :love:

:2431: OMG Paula, just caught up with this, poor girl, any news yet?

At first I was thinking like Lynne, hotspot, coz it came on so quick and being very wet, so I can see where Lynne is coming from there.

But if it's mainly seems to be where you put the treatment, it seems very odd that it's not that that caused it, it could be by her ear where she has been trying to nibble the spot on her back and it rubbed into her face by her ear


The main thing is that it is sorted asap, you have me thinking now hun, Elle's rash came on after her flea treatment as well but her's was a rash, not wet.

Shes home now with a lamp shade on and not too impressed!!

When we took her in, they said immediately "hotspot" then we said about the flea stuff, she said thats "more than likely what caused it". We left her there cos they had to put her under to shave her. When we went back they said it was wet excema and not to use anymore spot on stuff on her ever.

Its probably did rub into her ear cos thats the same. They did say it was an abcess before they shaved her then said it was the same.

Shes got cream and antibiotics and needs to go back on friday.

Thank god it's gonna be sorted then hun, very worrying for you and horrible for her. God I am gonna show Gazi these pics when he gets home from work, who would of thought it could make a dog react so badly.

I dont know what her ear looks like, I cant see it properly but her shoulders are awful. Shes lying down whining alot now.

They said to take her on a lead into the yard but shes ok on her feet, might give her a good walk later to tire her more. Hopefully she'll drift into a deep sleep for a few hours then. Shes doesnt seem like shes had a GA at all, she just hates the lampshade and its bugging her cos her ear itches.

Never again will I use that stuff on any of them, though the other dogs are fine.

which stuff was it you used, i would email a pic to the manufactures , maybe it will stop others going through what your poor girl went through, hope she feels better soon poor babe :love:

They said it was "more than likely" the flea stuff and not to use any form of on the skin type on her again.

The OH is NOT happy and is dealing with Bob himself, he said. Think hes gonna send emails and pics and generally be a nuisance.

Shes on the sofa with me now trying to cuddle up but she cant get comfy. She wanted to go for a walk so think shes feeling a bit better. We left her in anyway.

Shes much better without the lampshade on, we took it off to feed her, first thing she did was scratch her ear and yelp and run away down the yard, shes hardly touched it since so weve left it off for now. Shes running about panicking with it on.

She looks loads better already, its not wet anymore like it was and starting to scab in places, which is nice.

They also said, they didnt think it was deep enough to effect hair regrowth but we'll have to wait and see.

All in all, its not as bad as it looks and I think shes just a wimp
