| these dogs are giving me grey hairs :2431: i was stood in the kitchen giving daisy a love this morning, she was cradled in my arms like a baby :2431: ... when she heard a noise outside, so did fred, he went charging out and daisy jumped up and out of my arms landing on the breakfast bar and knocking a scalding hot cup of tea over and as she jumped/fell off the bar she tea spilt all over her back.... it was awful.... she was screaming in pain, i scooped her up super fast and chucked her in the sink and turned the tap on and soaked her(and myself lol) through! i rang the vets up and they asked me if she had any blistering redness etc, which she didnt and she had stopped screaming, they said it sounded like i had got her under the water in time to stop any damage, i had some painkillers left over from her op last month, so they said to give her a dose of that and keep an eye on her and take her down if she looks like shes in pain or if theres any soreness or blistering... thankfully she is absolutely fine i took fred out for a long walk yesterday and today to see how he would be on his leg... hes okay and its not been hurting him not that i can see anyway... but it was clear that he did not want to run after the ball as he usually does, so im hoping he knows his limits... he was quite happy to jump about and play fight with me and play our little game of doggy tag lol... :2431: ... i tried throwing the ball before we left the field..... and he definately wasnt interested in getting it, i had to go get it.... with him trotting by my side :rolls eyes: : we did stand and watch a police officer training his young gsd in the centre next to the field for a while though, it was brilliant to see... and fred sat there watching as if he was taking it all in.... if only :2431: | |

| REALLY GLAD DAISY IS OK, ONE OF MY PUPS USE TO CLIP HIS PAW WHEN HE WALKED , WENT DOWN THE ROAD OF HAVING HIS HIPS XRAYED AND HIS SPINE TURNS OUT HE WAS JUST TO LAZY TO PICK HIS LEG UP WHEN HE WALKED, AND SOMETIMES IF MY DOGS HAVE HAD TOO MUCH EXERCISE AND THEY ARE TIRED THEY WILL CLIP, FIRST TIME I SAW IT I WAS CHECKING THEIR REFLEXES ON THEIR BACK PAWS STRAIGHT AWAY, THINK I'M GETTING PARANOID | |
