| We still have him on the extendable lead at the moment We still dont know what he is like with other dogs and where we went today there are a lot of horse riders We went to a different part of Cannock Chase and had a really nice extra long walk We bought him a new half check chain today but he was still pulling so i might invest in the bigger size dogmatic for him Cant wait until his recall is good enough to be trusted offlead | |

| Not actually met one yet We met a guy who had 5 dogs offlead yesterday They were only jack russell type Keira went over and said hello rolling on her back but OH kept Mickey to one side as he was really pulling Once the guy had gone i told OH he should of let Mickey meet them His excuse was that he seemed quite hyped up and he didnt want him going for such small dogs if he was gonna kick off Bloody men he will end up making him worse if he doesnt let Mickey meet other dogs | |

| Im really pleased with Mickey We took him for a lovely long walk over Brocton yesterday and suddenly two excited dogs appeared offlead from nowhere Keira did the usual going nuts trying to rip her dogmatic off Anyone seeing her would think she is aggressive she only wants it off so she can lick the other dog and play Anyway i let her run up to them onlead and say hello They then ran up to Mickey and he greeted them with tail wagging :san12: We then carried on and came across another dog offlead a border collie He was cautious of us and gave a little growl The owner was really nice and when i explained about just getting Mickey she said her dog was nervous of other dogs We let the dogs meet and they all wagged their tails and were friendly The other owner was really pleased with her dogs reaction as she is trying to get him more socialised with bigger dogs Ive just had some whistles arrive off ebay this morning so next will be the offlead training Mickey had been having recall training using a whistle which seems to work better for him Atleast i now know he is dog friendly and is unlikely to attack another dog :san23: | |

| Just got back in We did some offlead recall with the whistle but Mickey was more interested in play fighting with Keira Atleast she is a good girl and comes back when called so that brings him back He did do some good recalls but would then get distracted and decide playing was more fun :sadd: We are gonna try the recall every day until it sinks in He is only a baby so im not expecting him to be great straight away :2431: Im taking some chopped up chicken wings next time to tempt him back They are his favourite Was really pleased for the first time offlead :2879: Typical while we have been out they have rung to say Keiras agility training starts tonight and she is shattered I think i will give it a miss tonight and go next week It looks like its gonna pee down aswell | |

| Mickey is gorgeous! Glad things are looking promising with other dogs. He's welcome to meet up with Sabre some time. That would be the real test! Have a group walk this Sunday at Kingsbury Water Park if you are interested. | |
