Our Hols 2014 day 4

well today has been eventful to say the least!! Its been an absolute scorcher today very sunny and lovely blue skies.
We decided to go to Inverawe smokehouse. we had a chat with on eof the locals who told us it was a 2 mile shortcut over farm land ( 4 miles by car) and over a really scary swing bridge ( thats how the local described it and she was right!!) then down really steep open steps at the other side of the swing bridge. Ed was very surprised I went over it as it was very narrow and I hate heights and especially hate heights when theres water gushing under the bridge!! Then it was across a field and into the nature walk beside the smokehouse.
We first had coffee at the smokehouse and did the nature walks came back and had a cold drink and a toasty. I bought some smoked goods to try and off we set over the field to the dreaded bridge. This time there were cows in the next field.....its fenced off Ed said.......I saw the bull and an open gate!!!! My worst nightmare are cows after being chased by some when I was young!

We hurried to the bridge Marley started to go up the dreaded open steps then decided he didnt like it and jumped over the side! It happened so quick! Luckily it wasnt from a great height and he was ok. So we had to trudge all the way back to the smokehouse ( I was panicking that the cows and bull would chase us but thankfully they didnt!!) then walk the 4 miles around the road we were out from 10am got back about 4.45.....Knackered!!!!

Glad to hear Marley didnt hurt himself but i wouldnt have fancied that 4 mile extra walk
Atleast the weather was nice and you had all that beautiful scenery to look at
