ive heard of the dap collars and plug ins, theyre supposed to be good....fingers crossed they help him, i expect he will be getting lots of loves and attention for the next few days...

a friend of mine uses the dap collars shes a vet nurse and the plug in too and she has seen sucess with them as have a few of my clients too

Thank you so much everybody, I have been so overwhelmed with all your texts and messages of support in what has been an awful 2 days for poor Marley and me. :love: :love: :love:

The update is Marley was getting worse today and after a couple of phone calls to Neil our Vet Neil told us to take him back. Neil took one look at him examined him and told us he was keeping him in and putting him on a drip because he was really poorly. I dont think I have to tell you the state I was in.

We have had Neil on the phone and Marley seems to have picked up a bit, seemed a bit brighter, Neil took him out and says he did the longest wee he has ever seen and he had a little bit of blood in his crate. He has been on a drip, had allsorts of jabs and tests. His bloods are fine but what has come to light is that his liver enzymes are up which points that Marley has picked something up and was being slowly poisoned and whatever it was has stripped his guts. What where or when he has picked anything up I dont know but Neil said he could have picked it up on a walk, in the garden etc
He is ringing us before 9 tomorrow morning for an update to see if Marley is well enough to come home or whether he has to go to the vet hospital for the weekend. Im really hoping and praying he can come home.

aww.. so sorry to read about Marley Judes, i really hope he'll feel a lot better by tomorrow.. I'm sure he's in good hands with the vet and he'll be back to normal soon.

Marley update

Neil has rang this morning to say that Marley had been a little sick during the night but looks brighter in himself even though he says he is not right. He hasnt had a poo yet so we dont know if its still bloody or not but he hasnt had a poo since 3 yesterday afternoon so Im hoping that is settling down. The good news is that we can pick him up at 11 this morning.
Ed remembered last night that Marley went up to a guy on the beach the
other day wagging his tail and the guy took his hand out of his pocket,
Ed thought he had just stroked Marley but we are now wondering if he
has given him something. We cant say for sure but are baffled with any
other explanation as we have racked our brains as we watch him like a hawk.
Having him home will be wonderful but I'll be happy when he eats and puts the weight back on that he has lost and gets back to his normal mischevious self

omg, if that's the case of someone givng Marley something that's awful Lets hope he is back at home with his mum and daddy soon. At least he is more perkier :love: :love:

Awww glad he's feeling a bit better Jude

He's home now but we still have a way to go. He has had 7 litres of
fluids through the night, antibiotic injections and antacid injections.
Neil was thrilled with the greeting we got from Marley he was much
brighter than he was yesterday! neil said he was going downhill rapidly
thats why he took him in overnight.
His liver enzymes were high which shows that its been toxic, his white
blood count was high which shows he's fighting an infection but the
good part is even with his blood loss he is not anaemic and has plenty
blood in him!! Things have been put in place with the vet hospital
should Marley have a relapse but fingers crossed he starts to pick up.
He still hasnt eaten but Neil said hes not worried about that yet, even
for another 3 days we have to concentrate on getting him over this but
he has lost loads of weight he is so thin.
