| Posted on our staff intranet Very sad to announce that I am looking for a good home for a 3yr old German Shepherd bitch.Beautiful friendly dog who unfortunately attacked and killed the pet rabbit yesterday.Natural I know, but the kids are so distraught that I feel the dog will no longer be loved the way she was.She has always been fine with people/kids,although after this event ,a home with other animals may not be a good idea.KC reg, microshipped all because the dog got the rabbit......me thinks its not just this, it cant be Im so angry I have had to refrain from replying apart from asking her if she would like me to get in touch with a rescue for her!! | |

| why was the dog allowed near the rabbit, stupid bitch don't deserve the dog if she can rehome for just that reason, the kids might be upset but what is wrong and telling the kids thats its natural instinct in the dog surely they have seen nature programmes on telly, bloody any excuse i think jude , | |

| Why leave a rabbit and dog unsupervised you're asking for trouble? Dont deserve to own animals if they aint prepared to look after em properly Not surprised you is mad hun Like you say though it seems a bit harsh treatment of dog surely there is something not being told | |

| Our pigs are always in a pen in the garden but even so they were ALWAYS supervised. Even when we didn't have Caius and Brogan was asleep indoors I was still paranoid a bird would swoop in on em | |

| sorry i couldnt respond properly before but i was at work and we arent allowed on the internet I posted this reply I have 2 german shepherds of my own and would be very tempted but the time isnt right. I could put you in contact with some lovely rescue people who will endeavor to find the right home for her. Please take time to think about this rationally, as upsetting as yesterday must have been the dog acted on instinct and I am sure that if you sit down and speak to the children they will understand this as surely the dog was as much loved as the rabbit and this will be double the trauma for them.......unless of course there are other issues with the dog and this is the excuse to get rid of her! i couldnt resist the last bit!!!! my post got a few well said comments from other members of staff though! | |

| she replied on the staff forum that she shares a garden with her sister and her sisters children she now cant trust the dog and she is very upset over it. A few members of staff are interested in the dog my personal view is that theres more than meets the eye there | |

| i agree jude .... if it was me and i ''shared'' a garden, i would fence it down the middle ... nothing like that would make me get rid of one of mine | |
