when i try go on a site in the browser it says the name of the site then says redirecting either goes sooooooo slow or just don't come up at all ,

could be several things

Is your internet speed ok?
Which browser you using?
When did you last do a disk clean up?
Have you got to many cookies and internet history clogging up your system?
Is google having problems at the moment? When you came on here, did you google us or is this forum bookmarked?

we have changed to sky and bt have said if i want to keep old email address i have to pay for it, i have tried aol and yahoo for new email and have done pop and smtl and that wont f**king work i get so frustrated cos i'm not sure what i'm doing , john nearly got the hammer to it last night cos hes lost google earth computer problems 797620

It will ask you to choose an email address, if its already taken they will make you choose another one and obviously a password

Since I went to sky I cannot use internet explorer computer problems 583730

Now it may take awhile if things are running slow but try and download Firefox, it will put an icon on your desktop and you click on that to go on the internet exactly the same way as you did before.

we have firefox i went onto it but this is what i got
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web

It means something is stopping firefox from loading

Have a look at the bottom right hand side of your computer, the tray at the very bottom, there will be little icons in it, run the mouse over eavh icon, see if one is calling itself windows firewall, if so, open it and see if you can see anywhere where it is blocking firefox

i think it could be avg , i took firefox off then downloaded it again it said it was not compatable with avg

I just looked on sky broadband help pages and it says to try unplugging your router for 4 minutes then plugging it back in again, see if that helps Sue

Are you looking at google earth through your firefox or have you actually downloaded the seperate icon for it Sue? Coz if I google the problem it says to try and download it from here http://earth.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=141163
