Well as you all know indie is a big boy he weighs over 100lbs :ezcs:
anyway,i walk him on a halti,he doesnt always pull, only if he sees people and other dogs
he gets excited and wants to play and i dont want to land on my arse.so when he does pull
i give the tug to the side but it makes no difference,he doesnt even blink,i'm sure his head is
made of concrete, just wondered if there was anything else i could try apart from going back
to basics.

Do you mean, something similar to a halti, like the Canny or gentle leader r gencon? Or something completely different?

you can try to bring something with very loud sound (eks metalbox with rocks in it) with you when you are walking him...if he starts to pull...drop it on the ground ..than you will get his attention... the momemt he end his unwanted behaveor..you can say good boy

Dont know sandra,he normally wears the gentle leader but when i try
to correct him by giving the lead a tug to the side he doesnt even feel it
i would love to walk him on a normal collar and lead but if he does lunge
he's too strong to control, maybe the answer is to just spend a lot more
time one to one with him. 🤔

Thanks karen,it looks more comfy for the dog thats for sure and they might not get that mark
round their face where it cuts in when they pull, dont know why they call it a halti cos it doesnt
halt any of mine. :nhy: :nhy: :nhy:

🤔 I find Bryn Better on the Gen Con than the Halti, he has a Halti, Canny and Dogmatic, and I feel I have more control over him with the Gen Con

hmmmmm let me think you could borrow me but im fully booked at mo lol
i think it may have to be a back to basics hun

one thing my brother does with his BC *she pulls with him not me sigh* is puts the lead on and its a halti lead so has a big loop *doubles up* this is making no sence lol any way the big loop he puts round her neck and that stops her pulling

walk the two boys together, its just more conveniant,i'll have to go back
to walking them one at a time at least that way i can work with him one to one
thanks everybody for your advice  :
