figured it was best to make a new thread so it wasnt mixed up in the attack thread - the police came round just after 11 and didnt leave till 1ish - so i got 2 miss work :D lol

anyway they took a statement of me n my mum - hers was 4 pages long mine was 2 as it was just basically repeating everything mums said, they are going to get in touch with the dog handlers - and then go and cease the dog to asses its breed - if its a pit bull mix it will be pts - if its just a HUGE staffy x - its temperment will be assesed - n they will either get it back but it will be made to be on a collar, lead at all times and muzzled - or it will be rehomed - depending on its temperment - if its temperment isnt great then again it will be pts

when they can get the dog people around - they will go round with them and arrest the woman n bloke who own the dogs - if they plead guilty they will be made to pay vet bills - if they plead innocent - we will have 2 go to court - if the courts say they dont have 2 pay the vet bill we can take them to civil court or summin to claim money off them

he was a really nice n really helpful police officer - we are getting skylas wound pics printed off and ill ring him up and he will come and collect them as evidence

its gonna take a while - he said do we have any plans for the next 6 months where theres days you couldnt get to court should it go that far - we said nope no plans - but i dont care howlong it takes so long as something gets done

they dont wanna go round n arrest the woman n bloke incase the dog 'dissapears'

there was also ALOT of witnesses - 2 i know - so when they go round n knock on doors asking if they witnessed it and if they did are they willing to make statements too - im pretty sure they will say yes - which is good

theres blood on the floor where it happened :( but shes fine shes out back playing with blaze atm n shes had lots of treats - and im gonna give her a rinse later to try n get the dirt n dried blood off her - tho one of her wounds (the 1 on her side) is still bleeding

just thought i would update you all :)

keep everything crossed they will get prosocuted for us and most of all for my baby girl

Good work Nix our police vist 910222

but wish the dog could be kept under control and muzzled rather than be put to sleep for being a breed type
our police vist 165548 not the dogs fault.

i know - i dont blame the dog at all - i blame the pissing owners! id rather it got rehomed and trained properly tho and not given back to them as they didnt seem to care it attacked - they didnt rush over n they just stood there for about 5 minutes not doing anything untill i screamed at them that their dog is going to kill her

Hope everything turns out well for you Nix our police vist 805515 and I hope that the other dog involved finds a new family to care for him. Some people just dont give a s---. They dont deserve to have a faithful canine friend
