| don't blame yourself , you have let fred enjoy been a puppy and have fun. you can give cod liver oil cos that helps lubricate joints , we always think of the worst with our dogs at the end of the day there are alot more worse things than a little arthritis , | |

| they only send them off for hipscoring , i think [ not 100% ] when there is arthritis in a joint it shows up like a greying round it were the surrounding muscle swells up to protect the damaged joint , if that makes sense | |

| cheers guys for all the advice it helps loads and reassures me ive had a friend round today with her husband, who is a 'doggy person' he's said pretty much the same, dont be panicking too much until the x-ray has been done and results are back. ive calmed down now, and theres not all sorts running through my head the fact that he is so young and to think that hes got arthritis was devastating, i felt so sorry for him, which im going to stop doing now, cos hes picking up on it and hes being extra mardy cheers for the links sue, if hes on metacam for a while i will definately be ordering it online | |

| @ Bubble wrap Hes probably caught his leg or slipped while chasing the cat Try not to worry too much about it Think positive Bloody pet insurance why wont they pay out for the xray and treatment When Mickey had his xray we read the policy and it said we couldnt claim for the same injury or investigation of an injury twice so we didnt bother claiming just incase he did ever get a cruciate injury Especially as the cost for surgery etc was about £5000 Knowing what a big clumsy ox he is we thought we had better not waste the claim | |

| im gutted about the insurance, and i could kick myself, im sure i read it through properly, i dont normal muck up on this sort of thing... im goin to find all the policy info and look myself in case the receptionist got it wrong and after all this this now i doubt anywhere will insure him anyway if it is right and i cant claim, i shall change daisy and bullet over to a different one! when i enquired about petplan, fred was only a puppy, they ot in touch with my vets first and they got back to me and said fred couldnt be insured for any digestive or stomach complaints because he was poorly when he was little, so we never bothered with them, wish i had now, cos his stomach problems havent really been an issue since the was 12mths ...hey ho, we live and learn ... im hoping its just somehting hes done too bren, this laminate flooring is lethal when theyre running | |

I have also remembered that Sue and Karol use bio flow collars on one their dogs which seems to aid arthitis.
