| im not sure if my boys very well or not im probably being paranoid, i usually am but ive just found him outside lying in the rain, wet through!! he came in when i shouted him, but hes gone back out again. and ive noticed these past few days that hes been very edgy and jumpy ... some scruffy man asked me for the time today and fred lunged for him, i dont know if it was to kill him or lick him, but all the same it was unacceptable im hoping hes just feeling a little pushed out as daisy has just been spayed and has been getting loads of attention, but fred doesnt go without attention so ive no idea whats up with him

| Shelley I don't want to worry you or anything but he might have some pain somewhere, I would get him checked by the vet to be on the safe side. that's what Bailey was like when he took ill a couple of weeks ago. he looks thoroughly miserable hun. although it's nothing but best to ring your vet anyway and ask him | |

| i have wondered if he might be in pain as well, but i always think im being paranoid lol, he was lying in a puddle of water when i first found him outside, then when i shifted him he moved to the decking where he still is now ... i will give the vets a ring in the morning if hes the same .. | |

| ring the vet now Shelley and just tell him what he is like and see what he thinks. if there is something wrong you don't want it to be the middle of the night when he's more poorly | |

| oooh what to do, what to do i wouldnt be abe to take him down to the vets tonight anyway ... tias fast asleep and nicoles not in to keep an eye on tia , or daisy to make sure she doesnt fiddle with her stitches... hes sat beside me at the mo, he is looking a little sorry for himself but is it cos im fussing over him,i dont know?.. but if i get up to play with him hes right there with me, its confusing ... if he was to get ill in the middle of the night, i would call them out hun .. no hesitation | |

| ive booked him in the vets in the morning ... i'll never settle if he doesnt get checked over they wanted me to take him down before the end of surgery which is at 7pm, theres no way i could get nicole home and get to the vets before then .. if he was in pain, is there anything i could give him, i meant to ask the vets, but forgot | |

| weve been to the vets today, and the new isnt good the vet is sure fred has the early signs of arthritis.. .. he had a very thorough examination this morning, and the vet confirmed what i already had a sneaky suspicion of, she could even see what leg he was having problems with before i mentioned it, and when she touched it and manipulated it, fred growled very loudly lol .. i had been to the vets a few weeks ago when fred had his six monthly check up and i mentioned then that his leg clicks loudly and he struggles with it when he gets up, but the vet said he was fine and the clicking was normal(i think i mentioned it on the forum previously too) i had also previously noticed fred scraping his leg on the odd occasion, but yet again the vet said it was fine the vet we had today was brilliant, she was very good she has put fred on metacam, he is to have no walks for a week or so, then we are to go back, he will have x-rays and we will go from there.. i checked with the vet insurance we have to see if we are covered for the x-rays an possible medication he will be on, and we arent... its our fault we havent read the small print properly ... but its not a problem, he will get whatever treatment he needs, and if it got too much, then i'd have to go get a job has anybody got any advice, ive been trawling the internet and its all very overwhelming | |

| POOR FRED, he is only a baby to be getting arthritis, my susie [ bless her ] got polyarthritis in every joint due to a allergy to a antibiotic , when it happened the vet wanting to put her to sleep she was that bad, but i said i would try alternate medication and put her on dorwest products http://www.dorwest.com/Top/Joints arnica and rhutox , after a few weeks she went swimming and i managed to keep her going with a good life for 2 extra years, now i have my girls on food with added glucosamine and cronadine but would go back to dorwest if they got any signs of arthritis | |
