| There is a small field near me which for the last 25 years I have used as a short cut to the fields behind. Until very recently it boasted three swings and that was it. Now it has been 'done up' and is quite fancy. A couple of years ago ago a 'poo bin' arrived which I didn't have a problem with, although I can say, hand on heart, that I have never had to use it. Yesterday however I realised that a notice had appeared courtesy of the local council saying that I was no longer allowed to walk my dogs across the field!! I am absolutely fuming!! Another perfect example of the mindless selfish few ruining it for the majority. And just how are they going to enforce it? I haven't got a bloody clue but it should be interesting. A fixed penalty of £75.00. Fixed penalty. What does that remind you of? Oh yes that other easy target, the motorist. This is the thin end of the wedge my friends! Next you wont be allowed to let them off their leads, at all! And then it's only a matter of time before they all have to be muzzled when in a public place. Dog Control Orders 2010. Coming to a city/town/village/hamlet near you!! | |

| So you can't use the field at all anymore We will have some new order's in Carmarthenshire from July, I think cannot walk anymore than 3 dogs at a time, they must stay on a lead in certain area's and a few other things As you say a few spoil it for all, we have 2 small enclosed parks here, and people were complaining about dogs poo in them, I agree that is disgusting, who wants a child playing and stepping or falling in poo, but I swear the only dogs I have seen in the enclosed parks is mothers with children who have taken the dog with them to the park when they take the child. | |

| There are loads of Posters up on the billboards saying your not allowed to walk dogs offlead on any land that is used by the public in the Cannock Chase area This is from 1st April this year and includes Cannock Chase Cant see that happening Cant find anything on the net about it either but think its to do with stopping all the dogs fouling on public land will have to actually read what the posters say next time i go past :2431: | |

| Yes ours came into force on 1 April too Bren. I guess cos we're both Staffordshire. I wouldn't mind but there are more dogs than children around here and whilst I agree that children stepping in dog poo is pretty gross we use that field regularly as a short cut and I've never noticed a problem. We can go round another way but it's the principle of the thing. Dogs are fast becoming Public Enemy No 1 and it's all because of the mindless, selfish minority | |

| you have to keep your dogs on a lead at dovedale, which tbh i didnt mind some of the pathways are narrow and quite close to the river, and the last thing you want is a dog come bounding by knocking you in :2431: ... we abided by the rules and kept fred on a lead, only to see countless people with dogs running riot offlead.. as you say spoiling it for everybody else ... | |

| Keeping them on a lead is one thing but being banned from land you've used for 25 years (longer in the OH's case) is a bit much IMO. | |
