How is the prep going with your homes? When do you think your houses will be on the market?

We are hoping that ours will be on the market by next weekend or the weekend after. Its taken a littlelonger due to Eds shifts at work being messed around and me having to rely on him to wallpaper, I can paint but not paper.
we are going to emulsion the porch and small bedroom Fri/Sat and then go through each room and declutter!!!! going to ring a couple of Estate agents next week and arrange to have the combi and fires serviced to have a certificate for the HIPS, so hopefully not long!!

Well done you have been working hard, there seems so much involved with selling a home now, wouldn't of thought of the service for the combi and fires

oooh jude, you have been ever so busy hun, i'll keep everything crossed that you sell your house quickly and you get somewhere lovely

Well im shattered I havent stopped cleaning and tidying all day Ive got 3 estate agents coming tomorrow to value the house and im hoping to be on the market by the end of next

I think i already know what im gonna put it on for and who with but want to see what the agents have to say about the price and general market atm Im thinking of trying an internet company instead of a traditional agent to start with because its loads cheaper and i know most people do initially find their properties on the nett you get more stuff aswell like floor plans and 3D walkthroughs you can also juggle or change photos whenever you want

There are still a few more things to finish off before i get them in to do the photos

Btw i viewed that house i said i liked last week and it is perfect for us So much better than the other one i looked at
Its a 3 bed detached bungalow with 2 lounges a dining room a nice size kitchen 2 bathrooms a utility room and a loft room Its yards from Cannock Chase and also has a large garden Only thing wrong with it is it needs loads of work done to it but thats why its in our price range The guy that owns it has lived there for 20 years and i bet he hasnt decorated since he moved in Its just the right kind of property for me i love totally renovating houses OH loves the house aswell

Just hope we can sell ours before it gets snapped up

The agent said everyone who has viewed so far has said it needs too much work done to it but its one of those houses that will be worth spending the money on

We have an Estate agent coming out on Tuesday! All the decorating is now done just cleaning through and decluttering the spare bedrooms, will wash and polish the wood floors over the weekend hopefully I wont be feeling as sore!

will have to get HIPS done before it goes on the market but it should be going up withing the next 7 to 10 days.........only problem is if it gets snapped up theres nothing we have seen that interests us!!

Well ive instructed an agent today who are coming out on Tuesday

Ive gone with an internet agent for now to see what kind of response i get

The price difference was unbelieveable!!!! Its cost £750 for selling and the HIP with the agent ive instructed One of the agents i had round quoted me over £6000 + vat to sell and £399 + vat for the HIP

Ive never used an internet agent before but do know nearly everyone looks on the main sites rightmove fish for homes prime location etc so thought it was worth a go

The agent im using has an offer on this month so im getting a virtual tour for free aswell Im also getting floor plans drawn up which i think is brilliant
