he was out on the town in Liverpool Skulking into Liverpool under his new identity, James Bulgers killer
Jon Venables cynically flouted his strict parole rules to go on wild
benders with mates.
In a cruel snub to the memory of the innocent toddler he and Robert
Thompson battered to death, the 27-year-old hit the nightclubs to get
smashed on cider and cocktails while snorting cocaine and popping
ecstasy pills.
Sources revealed Venables has also slipped into Goodison Park to watch
Everton play football in the nine years since he was freed from jail,
despite being banned from Merseyside.
The barbaric thug even clumsily chatted up women in clubs not too far
away from where he and Thompson killed two-year-old James in 1993.
During his sessions he would down Cheeky Vimtos, a lethal cocktail made
up of two shots of port and a bottle of blue WKD.
And it is said he has snorted kitty, a legal drug also known as
methadrone, miaow or MCAT. It produces a similar experience to ecstasy
and cocaine.
The Mirror can reveal Venables has frequented a series of different
clubs and bars including Krazy House, The Funky Box, Bar Fly and
Walkabout.
Clubbers danced, drank and chatted happily nearby, unaware they were in
the *presence of one of Britains most notorious child murderers.
Sources have claimed Venables would *regularly knock back up to eight
pints of Strongbow during his nights out. He has visited the Cavern
Club historic home of The Beatles and watched the band Keane at the
Liverpool Arena.
Our well-placed sources told how *Venables insisted on staying in Liverpool for as long as possible.
He would often leave his friends and wander off on his own. It is
understood he would then head for the railway station where hed wait
for the first train in the morning to get back home.
The bombshell news will come as a blow to James family. Mum Denise
Fergus, 42, has already told how she believes *Venables and Thompson
both 10 when they killed James were freed too early.
And that he has been able to slip in and out unnoticed to the city
where he carried out such a horrific crime, will spark national outrage.
The fact he has been enjoying *Premiership football will also be a
bitter pill to swallow for Denise, especially as he and Thompson denied
that simple boyhood pleasure to her tragic son, who would have turned
19 in two weeks.
Our sources told how Venables wore an Everton shirt to matches.
The killer is back behind bars after breaching his parole conditions.
Yesterday, the Mirror revealed how the yob had been in a violent
bust-up at work. It has not been confirmed whether that was the
specific reason for his dramatic recall to prison.
Venables has also been a regular cocaine and ecstasy abuser since he
was freed from jail in 2001. That and his violent temper have resulted
in several brushes with the law.
Sources insisted he has never returned to Bootle, the district of
*Liverpool where he snatched little James from a packed shopping centre
and led him to his horrific death at a nearby rail track.
The Ministry of Justice has steadfastly refused to reveal details of why Venables has returned to prison.
We cannot say when exactly Venables has visited Liverpool during the
years because of a legal injunction and we are banned from making
inquiries.
Nor can we report where he is living, working or which prison he is now in.
The Mirror cannot reveal specific details of his dalliances with young
women in the city centre night clubs or the exact dates because of the
*injunction. But we have been told he has struggled to form meaningful
*relationships with girls since he was allowed back on the streets.
Both Venables and Thompson were banned from attempting to contact each other or any living relative of James.
And they must seek permission before travelling to Merseyside.
Last night Venables was being held under a secret alias given to him by
probation chiefs. The Mirror cannot reveal his new name either.
He will now be able to appeal against his recall within 28 days.
If successful, he can once again be released. Venables will remain
behind bars indefinitely until the Parole Board decides if and when he
can be let out.
News that Venables was hauled back to jail this week, brought back horrific memories of James murder.
He and Thompson were seen on CCTV calmly leading the youngster out of the shopping centre by his hand.
Scores of shoppers passed the trio, but most just assumed it was a
couple of lads with their younger brother and paid them no attention.
The sick pair then took James on a two-mile trail of terror round
*Liverpool, stopping while beating the terrified tot. They had ready
answers for anyone who stopped and asked why he was bleeding and crying
and no one doubted their story. Venables and Thompson then dragged
James to a remote railway line where they battered him to death with
bricks, stones and an iron bar.
They left his pitiful little body on the track in the hope a train
would run him over and make his death look like a tragic *accident. The
crime shocked the nation.
After hearing Venables was back behind bars, Denise told how it brought back all the memories of the murder.
Her spokesman said: She has been given no detail about how or when the breach happened.
Plus, James Bulgers mum Denise Fergus urges Gordon Brown to reveal why Jon Venables is back in jail
if 2 dogs Killed another dog they would probably be PTS. these 2
should of been put to sleep too.
Rumours are the other one Thompson is
married with kids of his own. i wonder if his new family know of his
past.
