Well, I have always loved the GSD. Since we met little Maggie the bullmastiff, I'm rapidly becoming a Bully lover.

There is so much difference between a GSD and a Bullmastiff and we have to treat them totally the opposite but I wouldnt have it any other way.

Does anyone else have two completely different breeds?

Yep, I have a border Collie, GSD and an Australian Shepherd, the 3 need handling very differently, they respond differently to us as well, all are lovely dogs now lol

Isnt is amazing how you can switch from one dog to another without thinking about it?

With Mimi, I have to use a lower, sterner voice or she blanks me and walks away, using a higher pitched voice with her, she gets excited and thinks it all a game but still ignores what I want lol.

Maggie is the opposite, if we dont use a silly voice she just sits looking at me as if she doesnt have a clue what I mean.

Fortunately, we must have it just right (fingers crossed it stays that way) as they are both well behaved. Not "perfect" but I wouldnt want them "perfect", they are great as they are lol

my 2 gsd's are so good except Tilly is dog aggresive but what the hell there lots of people i dont like either so each to their own, bailey is so laid back does everything i ask him he's amazing .. my new puppy shady the 'shepland' is just being a puppy, but responds well to a kick up the arse...joking....she's vey quick to learn tbh, that must be the gsd in her Dog Breeds 729386 i dont know much about the newfoundland breed except they are big and brave, shady is very brave too, because she's not scared of tilly and bailey :nhy: even the first day she arrived she wound them up so much tilly went upstairs to get away from her and bailey hid behind me...she lovely tho..
