| Steak Diane ( My favourite steak meal!)
2 Sirloin or Rump steaks 1 small onion chopped 8 mushrooms sliced 2 cloves Garlic crushed 2 Heaped tsp Dijon mustard 2 - 3 Tbsp Brandy half a bottle of white wine double cream Butter to fry steak in
melt butter in pan and fry steak to preference, take steak from pan and put on plate cover in foil to rest.
in same pan sautee onion and garlic until soft, add mushrooms and fry for about 2 minutes, add juices from resting steak Add Dijon mustard, brandy and white wine and simmer until reduced right down til almost no liquid left add approx 3 tbsp double cream ( more if you like) Add steak back to pan to warm back through
Serve with either new potatoes, carrots and asparagus, or chips and peas!!!
I dont measure anything I do things by taste so add craem a bit at a time for your own taste but dont make sauce too runny!!
