Jan when did u get hips / elbows done they how much did they charge ? our charged 200+ for hips and elbows when axle was done last year but that was vets 1st time doing elbows and he didnt realise the time it took so i think he will put his price up this time
Axle was done as a pup for haemo ( normal ) all dog pups should be done before there sold.
Just interested in what he charged as Balie and Bliss will be getting done in october

Well i asked around a few vets and the price varied quite a bit
one was £33O,another was £280 but i paid £190 that was for hips/elbows
and haemo so thought that was quite good and he was there for 6 hours
getting it all done.

think our vet will put up prices as he tied up 3 nurses doing elbows because he hadnt done them before and axles xrays were sent back because the form he used for elbows was out of date, they sent him the new style forum and i had to return to vets to resign before he could send the xrays back(same xray only the form had to be changed)

good luck with your scores , i bloody hate waiting for them even when you get told they look good , waiting time with my girls have been 10 weeks, 6 weeks, 5 weeks and 3 weeks,

Omg..that is a long time,its been 4 weeks so far
and i keep looking for the postman every day.

the site i listed also keeps records of dogs which have had ED (elbows)done.

i got axles hip scores before his elbows although both were done same day

Well i'm spitting feathers here.Bloody vets..

Thought i would e-mail the BVA this morning to see why indies results
were taking so long and guess what....The submission was delayed due
to a clerical error.In other words,the vet fooked up on the paperwork and
it was sent back. :wqq: Fist they did the wrong blood test and he had to get another one done,now this....cant they get anything right. :Angry:

And thats not all....the hips are getting scored today(Apparantly)
But the elbows dont get done till thursday of next week. :ezcs:

the clerical error was that form for elbows was probably the old type the form itself is almost the same but they moved one box from bottom of form to top right and bva will no longer accept the old one same happened to me they dont inform the vets. Even when they sent back original form with the new one they only sent the vet one for my application . you would have thought they would have sent him a few knowing he still had the old form in practice.
Thats why Axles results for elbows came after his hips

Well,just phoned the vet because the BVA wont give me the results over the
phone but they will tell the vet. :wqq: Anyway vet said he will phone them
after morning surgery and then phone me,so unless theres any more fook ups
i should know today.

Phoned vets and he says he has been too busy to phone BVA
If he doesnt get the results in the post tomorrow he will phone then.
So i'll just have to be patient. :cryyyyyy:
