changeover to sky update

well what can i say.... what a fookin disaster..... i wish i had never bothered.... :wqq:

today i have cancelled sky talk after losing my temper on the phone... for the past 3 weeks i have been trying to get my virgin telephone number ported over to the skytalk line, therefore meaning i have had 2 live phone lines on the go as you cant cancel virgin before a number is ported over.... i have had no feedback on the progress, the phone calls have been continually cut off... when finally toay after losing it big time, i was told that i am unable to have the phone number ported over when the sky talk line has gone live :wqq: :wqq: :wqq: why no one told me this before hand i have no idea.... i have never dealt with a bigger bunch of muppets before i joined sky... so as well as cancelling the phone line i have cancelled the sports package for the tv too :Angry: ....

so all this means i am unable to have sky broadband... :san54: ... so i have had to phone up virgin today and cancel the tv package and up the :san54: broadband to 10 mb ....

its a bloomin good job i had a hunch not to cancel virgin weeks ago, i would have ended up with no services....with the virgin and sky combo it only works out at around a £1 dearer than just being with either sky or virgin.... so its not too bad i suppose :2431:

word of warning to those who are thinking of changing over to SKY......

awwwww Sorry Hun that youve had all these problems all I can say is the guy who was canvassing at the door when we signed up was brilliant and we have had no problems at all, not 1 that I can even think of to complain about apart from having to wait for my broadband to go active, the internet connection for me is far better than virgin ever was and Im still on the basic Free broadband.

*touch wood* my internet has been fine recently.... just going to leave things as they are now i think lol.... will wait till we move in a few years time :2431:

one thing i did notice though.... you get treated better if you say youre a new customer rather than an exisiting customer.... i said i was an existing customer by mistake, and i was kept on hold for 20mins after being transferred around 4 times...... i eventually put the phone down, and told them i was a new customer, and was transferred to the right department immediately changeover to sky update 482195
