Anyone clicker train?

I don't really, I have got Misty trained to the clicker because she has such an active brain, I needed to be doing something with her all the time, never did any of her formal training to the clicker just in the house I would have her do silly tricks with the clicker, like cammando crawl, walk backwards, shame, touch nose etc

I am not a huge fan of the clicker, I don't see much difference between clicking and my normal reward training.

i use clicker training and also with out the clicker i say YES lol i think its a great thing but not all dogs excell with it cant train kiera that way lol pup on the other hand is amazing to watch working off the clicker i started clicker training a couple of my horses never did it with the dogs as pads was a gundog and did as he was told lmao
but with my horses my pony magic had been so severly beaten in the past if something happend he didnt like he would kind of freeze on the spot and nothing would snap him out put feed down and he wouldnt move a inch *hes like a lab wen it comes to food only the horse version lol* its almost as if hes hoping if he doesnt move he wont get hit or as the lady who came to clip him today said hed given up! so i did clicker training with him and my TB mare and they both loved it so i tried it with ke and she just thought EH but pup is amazing with it

i am thinkin ov using a clicker for when blaze sees another dog or a cat to regain his attention however bingo is scared shitless ov it when i click it so gonna have 2 train him up to realise that a click means a treat b4 i take it outside and try agen he was shakin n had his tail tucked underneath him last night when i clicked it i felt sooo bad bout it :(

Dont like clicker training.

I hate the way they go through all their 'moves' like a performing seal til they find the one you want. Although Mary Ray told me (Yes!!! THE Mary Ray!) that they only do that at the start.

Marley is terrified of a clicker, we just have to show him it and he goes and lies down on his bed. I dont know why as its never been used as a punishment at any time we just thought we would try it to get his attention!

We train with a similar method. We call it Positive Reinforcement "Cue" training. Instead of using a clicker, we use a verbal reward (usually a letter of the alphabet) to go along with the food reward. I actually find it a bit difficult to handle a leash, food reward and a clicker all at the same time while trying to coordinate them all! The verbal reward is so much easier.
