Ours go out first thing in am and then have dinner about midday they won't go out again until after 2pm. I'm like Shell make sure I watch their drinking too Theban will stand over bowl for minutes lapping away if we don't watch him. Its one of the things I'm paranoid with re the dogs. I won't let kids play tugger with dogs either until they've had at least an hr between their food. .. ?????? Bloat 658515

As most of you know i lost Summer almost a year ago to bloat and i am paranoid now
I watch my other dogs like a hawk now and probably to the point that its not healthy
but i just cant help myself. I have read and reread many articles about bloat and thought i knew all
the signs but what the articles never told me was that dogs can suffer from slow bloat. When Summer started to act unwell i immediately thought bloat but as time went on she seemed to settle so i went to bed.I got up the next morning and found her lying dead in the kitchen with all the others cuddled round her.It was awful. It was my vet who told me that dogs can suffer slow bloat,it happens over the course of 12-24 hrs.I had no idea that was even possible.I also followed all the rules about not excercising on a full stomach and i've always been very strict about thatShe even had a slow feed bowl as she was a gulper and that slowed down her eating but she must have taken in too much air whilst eating that night.Heartbroken and still am. ?????? I agree. If your dog is a burper it can only be a good thing as he is releasing the air. ?????? Bloat 910222
