Today is a very sad day!

Shortly after 8am this morning my stepdad, bry, passed away, he was taken in early Tuesday morning and got worse as the week went on, I have had the pleasure of sitting with bry all week and helping to look after him, he put up a brave fight but gave up and died peacefully this morning, we couldn't get there in time .....

R.I.P bry ..... I hope you've found a comfy chair, some baccy and you've got a brew

Sorry to hear this hun  sounds like you've been a huge support this past week for him

 RIP bry may you be free from pain and suffering now

If I'm honest I'm glad he didn't fight for too long, it was a battle he would never win and he was exhausting himself

I am now in the process of organising the funeral and informing all the right people etc etc ....then I have the tedious task of going through all his paperwork

Good luck with the paperwork    its not a very nice job having to sort other peoples stuff out      Its odd some of the stuff you find       When my dad died i had to sort everything out and found loads of stuff about my grandad    I knew he wasnt happy about my dad marrying a Catholic but apparently it was something to do with him being a Mason    I spent hours reading through letters and looking at different medals, photos and momentos when i should of been clearing stuff out   
Did Bry still live with your mum   or will you have to sort all his house out aswell

He was still married and lived with my mum .... I've had a look though some of his stuff and I've been the same, found it interesting some of the stuff Ive found including a donor card, he registered to become a donor on February this year .... But then on closer inspection we found he had actually made his son a donor he wasn't amused lol!!!

I'm back there tomorrow to gather all the rest of it and bring it home with me

We have just returned from taking mam up to see her terminally ill close relative in Bournemouth, had to laugh, mam is quite 'proper' anyway, the road was closed by Jean's house and we had to go a diff way so jean met us at the end of her road, she is about 76 years old, she got in our car to show us a side road, a car came towards us and blocked this tiny lane, Jean shouted out the window, "move you stupid t**t"   Gaz and I pissed ourselves laughing, dared not look at my mothers face though  

don't you just love um!!!

It was the funeral last Thursday, it was a lovely service and wake.... Just got all the affairs to trawl through now...it's a nightmare
