Max has a tumor!

So ultrasound showed that Max has a very large tumor, and his liver is almost twice the size it should be. Vet says an operation to remove the tumor would be very risky at his age and with his bad heart. Also it may not be successful, because the cancer may well have spread to other organs, but need to wait for blood test results to find that out.

He has drained some of the fluid off and given him some steriods which he says may help him feel a little more comfortable. I have brought him home for the weekend, and although I am praying he improves, kind of know this is more so to give us time to say our goodbyes

So Max has moved from the spot I put him in yesterday when we got back from the vets... he's moved closer to the fire! :love:

He's had a little food, some sardines to mix his tablet in with. Seems a little perkier this morning, but has now gone back to sleep again!

He's eaten to today and managed to get in and out of the garden a couple of times without being carried. Think the vet draining the excess fluid has helped. So although he has slept most of the day it's been a reasonably good one. Fingers crossed tomorrow is the same... or even better!
