| yes karen.... the cat :shockhorror:
hes going into kennels for the first time ever this year... hes approx 8yrs old.. so its quite late to be taking him away from home into unknown territory...im worried it might affect him quite a bit.... so i was wondering if there was anything i could take to make his stay more comfortble and stress free for him ....

| His own bed? Are you able to take him in for a visit before he stays? | |

| Is he staying with Mo at cozy cats? If so if he gets really stressed then ask if he can see Fred at some point during the week It may calm him down seeing a familiar face I think next time we kennel ours at Mascani im gonna put Mojo there aswell
We put Mojo in the cattery last year when we went to America for 2 weeks She had never been in a cattery before so we thought she would be fine
She hated it and apparently meowed for the whole 2 weeks I would definately take his bed or a blanket from home and a few toys if he has any just so he has familiar things round him Different cats react different ways Mojo is spoilt and is a mummys girl I think it was just a shock to her

| Wouldnt worry too much Shelley. Cats aren't like dogs. I've had numerous cats over many years & while they're all different they dont get attached in quite the same way. If anything he will miss his routine & surroundings rather than you so perhaps take his bed, his dish etc.
If he's anything like mine he will probably sulk for a few days after you pick him up as well. :2445:
Is there nobody who could pop round & feed him? They could check the house for you too

| ooooh im glad you said that bren...i was going to say the same thing to mo... maybe if bullet sees fred he may calm down a bit...i'll leave his cat carrier there, so they can have a sniff through the bars.... fred will pounce on him else
i'll take his bed and freds towel, which he has claimed as his own...lol...
i normally leave him at home bev, but we have no cat flap anymore.... freds broken 4, the last one being an expensive one... so my OH said enough was enough... he put a new panel in the door so poor bullet has to miaow to get in....and hes a nuisance some days, hes in and out... a different friend is looking after the house and the other animals, but shes not cat crazy so i dont trust her to make sure hes in at night and out first thing.....
