Advice please

As you all know Storm has hip dysplasia on both left and right sides. She has been dragging her paws now and again she is getting Glucosamine, chrondroitin and MSM tablets 3 a day which I am buying from Holland and Barratt.

So I have upped her walks to more but shorter personally I don't think not walking her will do her any good so I want to build her muscles up build her strength.

So what I am wanting to know is any advice or suggestions on what else I can do or give her. She loves her walks so much she's my baby. I have had a cold for the last 5-6 weeks ended up at the Dr's today on bloody steroids and anti-biotics for my chest (asthma) I was in my bed nearly all day Sunday and she didn't leave my side slept beside me on the bed all day.

What a shame Storm is getting worse    i cant really offer any suggestions but im sure some of the others may know more about this condition and can give you some advice to make it more manageable   
Sounds like a good idea to try and build her muscles up with the more frequent short walks    especially as she enjoys them so much    

She is happy in herself which is good.   

 

Is there a indoor hydro pool you can take her to lorz? low impact exercise is always better on the joints.

I was going to suggest the same ..... Hydrotherapy can help immensely ... Then in the summer you can also take her swimming in the nearest lake or reservoir....we take Fred swimming when the weather is nice, it helps him loads 1loads

She just paddles she doesn't swim but will look into it. Xx

Hmmmm .... Maybe just hydrotherapy then ...

I would of suggested the hydrotherapy too to build her muscles maybe walking through sand long grass so she has to lift her legs a little more.There are a few natural herbs which could help too hun
