| I've not said nothing on Facebook but my mother has been ill again .... We don't think it's looking good She's massively bloated around the abdomen (larger than most full term pregnant women) she is yelllow and gaunt... She's in evident agony and can hardly move from the sofa!! She's been denying help, will not let us take her to the doctors!! Nicole went yesterday to see her and was shocked with what she saw, I contacted my aunt who then went round to see her and she rang me up sobbing... So tomorrow we are off over there to call the doctor out regardless of what my mother says!!! Our biggest worry is that she will die alone and in agony, if all that can be done is to give her some strong painkillers then at least she will find some relief!! She was warned a few years ago that her liver could be damaged...but still she stopped taking the tablets the doctors gave her and now we are at this stage.....it's so frustrating that she won't get help, she could be dying needlessly!! It angers me that most people would give their right arm for a fighting chance, but my mother is so stubborn and scared that she would rather die I feel helpless | |

| She's so frustrating Bren!! .... I've had to rehome her little dog because she couldn't cope with him, tomorrow I'm going to check on the cat as my aunt said she was shut away in the kitchen...which is unlike my mother!! I know what's going to happen tomorrow...my mother is going to go absolutely berserk!! And if we can't get a doctor out, it men's leaving her in that state with no adequate pain relief!! Would be simpler if I could knock her out and then get her committed lol!! It is literally like she is sitting there dying in front of our eyes.... She had been drinking for best part of 50 years now, I'm surprised she's lasted this long tbh!!... it's heart breaking to see what she's done to herself.... I know she's not drinking at the minute because she's scared...which is even more frustrating, if she can do that so quickly cos she is scared why couldn't she just do it anyway!?!??.... Gerrrr Since losing my brother 30+ years ago part of her died then and I don't think she will ever be fully healed until she is with him again!!!.... So so sad | |

| Do you think she might have a touch of dementia aswell Im only saying that because maybe she isnt just scared but is unable to see reason People with any kind of mental illness dont see things like the rest of us Its a shame they cant see what it does to the rest of their families Hopefully she will see sense and let the doctor visit even if it is just for pain relief How sad she wont let anyone help | |

| I don't think she's got dementia Hun she has a mega phobia of anything medical ...it's the fear of the unknown ... She's just in total denial, she thinks if she tells us a different story we will beehive it ....she convinces herself so she thinks she's convinced us | |

| ~Jeez Shell, so sorry to hear about your mom, she needs a doctor asap as she sounds very ill, in fact I would call an ambulance hun and just let them get her to hospital straight away. I hope to god she will listen to you, some people are very strongly against help. Will be thinking of you and your mom hun | |

| We would call an ambulance sange but it would be a waste of time if she wouldn't go in it I wouldn't want someone else to suffer because she's so stubborn!!! Let's hope the doctor can talk some sense into her *fingers crossed* I can't see it happening though she's made her mind up | |

| As soon as I've dropped tia off at school, about 8.30 ... Takes about an hour in the traffic to get there My aunt is getting there about 8.30am ... Just hope they do argue before I get there ... I don't want my mum too upset if there's no doctor coming out | |
