I hope so Bren. Ive spoken to the estate agent and she has said 9 times out of 10 the tests come back negative but to mention it to the couple when they come on Saturday and it will look good if I ask if they would like me to get it tested for them. She also said that as long as the roof is watertight then dismiss that! I feel a little better today!!

well they did have the full structural survey done and freaked out on thursday with the report. I thought they were going to pull out but they asked to come to speak to me today face to face. I had the wall and ceiling asbestos checked on Thursday and thats come back negative. The surveyor said the roof needed replacing but Lauras uncle is a retired roofer and came to look and said theres sod all wrong with that roof!!!! theres a few things that they need to get checked out and then we can move on. fingers crossed!!

  Strange that the surveyor told you all was ok and you shouldnt lose any sleep but tells the clients the house needs a new roof    and your roofer says all is ok   
If they try to knock you down for a new roof insist on seeing the survey    i bet it just says some work is needed to improve it   
Thats the trouble with full structural surveys they pick up on everything that isnt perfect and sound very scarey   
Most houses even newer ones that have these big surveys have loads of issues picked up it just sounds worse when its written down on paper   
Good job you had the asbestos check done   thats another non problem that could of scared your buyer off   
   all goes smoothly from now on   

It was the buyers uncle who came to look at the roof and it was him who told them there was sod all wrong with it! We have had the decking built too close to the house its going to cost £100 to rectify so I said we would pay for that but the surveyor has said they have to have the dining room floor checked for woodworm because of the decking!! Thats what our buyers said it looked really bad when they read through the report but when they went back through it wasnt as bad as first thought. The surveyor should have been here for a full half day he was here for an hour and a half.

Our Pond fish have gone to a new home today    and Ed has filled the pond in. It was one of the conditions of purchase as they have a baby. I feel really sad

its a permanent move for the fish Bren I feel sad as my my beautiful huge midnight blue and gold Koi carp that we've had for 10 years has gone we affectionately called him Big Lad. Ive just packed up 2 boxes of ornaments from my display cabinet this afternoon. weve sent 9 boxes of stuff to the charity shops and about 20 bin bags to the tip!!

Get used to the packing    you will be amazed how much stuff you will end up packing  
Its a great time to de clutter   i tried to be ruthless when we moved    i cant believe how much stuff id kept for years that never got used   

It's really nice to be able to sit back and read all your moving tales Jude ...knowing that I've done it and not feckin doing it again

 makes me glad we rent I think all that stress would burn me out sending hugs Judes that everything from here on in goes smoothly for ya

well the bastards have pulled out today!!!! Basically they had high ideas and not the money. Im absolutely fuming!!

I know exactly how you must feel and you will be totally gutted   but dont give up    you could re sell quickly    
We were the same when our buyers pulled out 2 weeks before completion but luckily we resold within 2 weeks     the same happens with your house    
Hopefully theyve lost lots of money after messing you about like that    
Are you re-marketing straight away     If so then id ask the agent to take some new different photos it sometimes gives a fresh marketing approach    thats what i did   
Does the one your buying know yet   hopefully they will give you some time to re-sell before putting that one back on the market
I really am gutted for you

we have a viewing tomorrow but my heart isnt in it. Ive just had a really bad week and probably the worst weekend last weekend that ive ever had through an agency nurse who I have been chasing for an unpaid bill told my managers that he paid me cash and I had given him a receipt. To cut a long story short i could have lost my job but his accountant couldnt find the receipt he gave totally the wrong location of my office said the receipt was from a book which i dont have and he then realised that was at a different hospital he was working in and he did owe us the money!!! I lost 8lbs in weight in 5 days with worry. Then the house situation BUT thr best news ever is my dad who has been undergoing bowel tests doesnt have cancer

  What a terrible week     
but dont get too down    try to stay positive about the house     i know its hard but the housing market is definately picking up so    you sell again quickly
You never know you may sell for a better price which is what we did   

Thats brilliant news about your dad    Thats one massive worry off your mind
