how's the bathroom coming along? How's Mickey been this week?

Hi Suzie

My bathroom is no further forward my brother is still on his other job atm but he text me earlier saying he will be back asap to finish off its gonna be soon
Im not too bothered as he has fitted the bath and fully tiled everywhere already He just has to fit the new toilet, sink and shower Hes already put all the pipework in ready so hopefully it wont take long
Luckily ive got a second toilet and sink that we re using

Mickey is Mickey
I ended up taking him to the vets last week about his hotspot it was drying up nicely when he managed to get his cone off overnight and chewed a big hole in his back so that was another £75 Its alot better now but the cone stays on until im sure hes all healed up Hes so used to wearing it now it doesnt really bother him and he even comes over to get it put back on after hes had his food
Its always those horrible little prickly balls that give him the hotspots its so hard to keep him away from them when he goes out for a walk theyre everywhere and he always manages to get them stuck in his coat
He has been really good with Keira all week but he did growl at her last night

Just remembered something else mental Mickey did a few days ago

I took him out for his last wee of the night I always put his extendable lead on just incase he tries to get through the hedge cant trust the little bugger and i cant see him in the garden properly when its dark our new security light only lights up part of the garden

Anyway Keira was in the garden offlead because shes a good girl i walked down the path towards the porch with Mickey to go in At this point i had locked the extendable i turned to call Keira just as Mickey spotted something by the door probably a bloody moth or something and then that was me flying through the air like superman straight into the porch then onto the floor OUCH!!!! OMG he is sooooooo strong
I hit the corner of the porch boob first then he pulled me across the gravelled path so now i have a massive bruise on my boob another one on my knee and grazes on my elbows It was bloody painful
He looked so sorry for himself when he realised what hed done
Ive been acheing ever since so its a good job ive got the bath to soak in

Bren you were lucky he didn't drag you into door frame head firstyou could of really hurt your head or worse. grazes n bruises are better than concussion. I'm not surprised your aching and sore though hun You poor love
Hope Mickeys hot spot is continuing to heel well bless him with his collar
You'll get there in the end with your bathroom like you say at least you can use the bath I'm sure it'll be worth the wait

that sounds painful, if its the prickly balls that get him, then why not buy him a cheap coat so they won't get on his back just a thought , or better still get lorz to make you one for him ,

Im fine ive added a load of scratches to the bruises today gardening I was pulling out loads of brambles and managed to get loads of cuts on my arms
I dont think he would wear a coat Sue its always at the base of his tail where he chews so it probably wouldnt stop them either We just need to try keep him away from those horrible little prickly balls he does love running through them We ve been walking him up the road instead of on the field to keep away from them
