*cracks knuckles* Now this is my type of thread :2445:
Hmmm I am liking the sound of a dogtalk4us band :2445: Farah was right.. I play guitar and I write lyrics too.. I can also do like.. post hardcore/metalcore screaming but I don't think there will be much call for that :nhy:
Ok... music I am into.. Music is literally my whole life.. When I am not playing my guitar or writing songs, I am listening to it.. I am mainly into a type of music called post hardcore which is basically a mix of clean vocals and screaming... A few good commercial examples would be early funeral for a friend, some lost prophets, 30 seconds to mars and enter shikari but I am more into the less mainstream stuff like alesana, blessthefall, underoath, scary kids scaring kids, silverstein, hopes die last, alexisonfire, dance gavin dance, saosin, fugazi, the used etc etc.... Some of that stuff can be classed as emo as well..
This is a really good example of amazing post hardcore by a band called dance gavin dance..
I also love a lot of other branch offs of hardcore as well as hardcore itself.. minor threat, project x, the teen idols and earth crisis are all straight edge hardcore bands that sort of pioneered the lifestyle that I lead... ie no alcohol, no tobacco, no drugs, being vegetarian etc etc.. I love some metalcore stuff which is a mix of metal and hardcore with screaming and sometimes clean vocals.. couple of metalcore bands I love are killswitch engage, it dies today, as I lay dying, if hope dies, heaven shall burn, caliban, bleeding through, all that remains, skycamefalling and a few others..
Here's one of my favourite metalcore tracks called naenia by a band called it dies today..
Ok... that is the not so mainstream stuff out of the way.. now.. mainstream I am a fan of a lot of different bands and singers such as the beach boys, queen, the police, the eagles, jimi hendrix, led zepplin, iron maiden, guns 'n' roses, metallica, korn, linkin park, rage against the machine, styx, slipknot, jeff buckley, tracy chapman, soul asylum, phil collins, johnny cash, bush, nirvana ah man way too many to remember.. I love a lot of rap stuff as well but none of the new stuff that is coming out.. a lot of grunge... again nirvana, pearl jam, alice in chains... If something is good, I will listen to it... phew lol

The used rock.. The new stuff is supposed to be a lot heavier and louder like so I guess it's more heavy post hardcore than the emo stuff..

Funeral for a friend are brilliant.. Casually dressed and deep in conversation is still one of my favourite albums.. I am actually listening to it now.. Hours is brilliant too.... One of my favourite songs.. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=6846632 amazing video too..
Disturbed are awesome.. I love the way he sings.. they have a real anger about them that makes it great music for listening to when pissed off... I am impressed that you like rammstein Farah... Awesome band.. Another great one for getting psyched up to..
