| you know how you have a funny feeling and it wont go away, i had one all yesterday on the run up to the party .... when all the guests had turned up, we decided to ahve the fireworks.... i was a little wary and kept complaining that they were too close and it was dangerous, as everyone knows, im a bit of a drama queen and no one really listened to me ... tia was sat on nicoles knee at the front of the gazebo, and to me she looked too close for my liking, i felt too unsettled, so i got her and put her on my knee.... THANK GOD I DID!!!!!! I was sat next to my friends niece and jokingly set.... ''you watch, a firework will come whizzing into us all'' and right on cue...it did the stupid person setting the fireworks up wasnt doing it properly he had failed to read the instructions, which had said... the firework had to be quarter buried in the ground and 25 metres away from the public,... it was approx 5 meters away and not buried.... it came straight into the gazebo where we were all sat.... it happened as if in slow motion.. then it exploded... i dived onto tia, my friend dived in front of her children, the party host jumped on the firework, but only made it worse, so she grabbed her nephew and screamed for everyone to get in the house...then nicole screamed ............. once in the house i found her in the bathroom... she had been hit in the side of the head!!! luckily it wasnt serious...but her hair was burnt and she had a burn mark the size of a cigarette burn and a bald patch where her hair was i dread to think what could have happened had tia been sat on her knee,. not that its any better that it was nicole if you kwim!!... my friend who had shielded her kids had also been hit on the back of the leg, but she was okay too!! i feckin hated fireworks AND the bloke who was setting them off before last night, now i hate them both even more!!! when i told my OH about it this morning, he was surprised i never chinned the t**t if everyone hadnt have ben so shocked i might have done | |

| I have never liked fireworks apart from organised displays with people who know what they are doing! My ex sister in law years ago had a jumping jack thrown at her by some yob and it exploded on her shoulder she is now scarred for life | |
