Well where do i start,
we have had 2 weeks away but it feels like 2 days.
We have had a great time,
and great weather too we couldnt have wished for 2 great weeks weather wise, we have had lovely autumnal days and if the sun didnt peep through it was gloomy but dry. Often we put our waterproofs on just in case but I can honestly say hand on heart we never got wet!!
If it rained it was early morning or in the evening. We did have 1 thunder storm our first week but it was around 9pm and we were in the cottage.
Our journey up was lovely, Marley had sedation as he is not a very good traveller, it was the first time he'd had it so Neil said it was an experiment with the dosage but it was fine he was lovely and chilled and slept most of the journey. Kala lay on her bed on the back seat, she is so good she just lies there until we stop.
the cottage was fantastic, in the middle of nowhere( 3 miles to the nearest village and small shop in the garage!) on a 2500 acre private estate owned by mr and mrs Macdonald who have sheep farms.....yes ive sang the song a few times "old macdonald had a farm eieio!!!" they live in London but came up to the big house last weekend and stopped to say hello on Sunday they were really lovely
Our first problem on holiday was kala, Madam will have a pee on lead but has never had a poo while on lead, she went from 6am on saturday morning until we got to a beach on sunday afternoon where she had a poo!! Our days always started with a 7 mile journey to a beach so kala would have her poo before we went elsewhere!!
Our second problem was we had an uninvited guest/gusts who came to stay!!
we kept hearing scratching in the walls after dusk, we reported it to the owners who think its a colony of bats! it didnt spoil it for us but it sure as hell spooked me the first night when I first heard it at 2.30am in a pitch dark bedroom!!!!
The Kintyre peninsula is stunning we have travelled 1300 miles in total and Ed has taken mountains of pics! I will post what I have taken on my camera before it went kaput!! Its going back tomorrow as its still under guarantee but he has some absolutely stunning shots of Marley and Kala and of the scenery.
talking of the terrible twosome, they were absolutely excellent, I was so proud of them they were so good and were admired wherever we went
but now its back to normality, and back to work on Monday......unless i win euromillions tonight!!
