Been up all night with Bailey

I went to the surgery and they wouldn't let me see him because he was in Isolation and still sedated


the Xrays showed no blockage or anything stuck in his guts, but while under the anesthetic he followed through a liquid shite all over the place and they concluded it was a severe case of food poisoning.
I think it was some water he drank at the beach I fell asleep after we got back Melissa rang them at 5.30 and they said he was comfortable but very week and not out of the woods yet. he's having fluids and antibiotics pumped into him and the next 24 hours it will be up to him to have the will to fight.

Hopefully the treatment hes getting will do the trick and he will be strong enough for you to see him tomorrow

Im sure he will get the strength and will to pull through once he sees you again tomorrow

We all know what he means to you and are all praying he recovers

Try to keep positive He will be back with you before you know it

Its gonna be a long night for you

Its hard but try to get some sleep so your not up thinking about him all night

He will want you wide awake fussing over him tomorrow when they let him out

I know I should stay positive but if I think the worst, I wont be so bad should the worst happen, but I know I will be devastated. it's hard to know what to think at the moment hun.

now I know how Judes felt with Marley

I can only imagine how you must feel

Bailey will pull through just like Marley did

Im off to walk the dogs then go to bed so will catch up with you tomorrow when you WILL be on here telling everyone Bailey is getting better Im sure of it

I feel every bit of your pain Karen having gone through it with Marley, I was a basket case at work yesterday thinking about Bailey knowing what you would be going through and how I felt when I had to leave Marley (and knowing that someone had deliberately done that to marley was something I couldnt comprehend) but keep positive hun, look how Marley pulled through, it took a while to get him back to full strength and I cried for the first 3 days when I got him home as he would just sleep all the time just waking for toilet and tiny bits of food but every day he got better and better
Its heartbreaking hun I know but every inch of me is willing Bailey to get better. I will pop on at work to see if theres any news.... we are all here for you hun

I rang vets this morning and he's still alive thank god
the poison got into his blood stream causing septicemia
he had a comfortable night he is still on fluids and AB's
he's had a drink but wont eat anything.
he may be able to come home today providing he is ok
when they remove the fluid drip.
I have to ring again at 3.30
so fingers crossed he can come home this evening

I've tears rolling down me face!! Thats great news karen I have been worried sick marley didnt eat for 2 days hun after they brought him off the drip and I had to start him off with scrambled egg and then little and often with chicken and rice Fingers crossed that you get him home tonight hun and then lots of cuddles and love he will be back to strength in no time

I honestly cant imagine what you are going through but do know what a very worrying time it has been. So relieved that he is doing well
