| Marley has become very picky with his Royal Canin and we have also been very aware of the high protein content in it, The problem we have is that up to now its been the only food that hasnt given him the runs but it also makes his poo very hard and a couple of times he has wimpered when having a poo I have decided to give Arden grange another go, just wondering if there any rules of thumb for changing over? Quantities etc? | |

| Well I have always heard to introduce new food slowly, like what you did when the vet said to slowly start Marley back on his food, but with mine to be honest, they are used to eating all sorts and I have neve had a problem, though, saying that Marley has had problems before, so I would do it very gradually Jude | |

I have decided to give Arden grange another go, just wondering if there any rules of thumb for changing over? Quantities etc? the vet here sais that if you should change the food, than start with 90 % of the ordernary food and 10 % og the new.... |

| I have always been conscious of the protein content in Royal Canin being high and Arden Grange is much lower and is supposed to be really good. I tried him on the puppy food when he was about 12 weeks but it just went through him, Im hoping the adult food might agree with him, I have got the chicken and Rice, lamb and rice and salmon and rice in 2.5kg bags to try him with if it has adverse affects I'll just take it to our local cat and dog shelter. I have tried him with some in his food tonight and he cleaned his bowl and was looking for more!!! | |

| Taylor is fed on Burns, mixing it in with James Wellbeloved.. I fed my other dog (who suffered from EPI) on JWB and it was the only food that didn't go through him.
Hope you get Marley, changed soon and stop his constipation! |

| very interesting sandra!!! :san53: If I could find a cheaper food that agreed with Marley Id put him on it!! We are paying £40 for a 12kg bag of Royal Canin at the moment, I cant get Arden grange which are 15kg bags for about £30 so Im hoping it agrees with him :2445: | |

| Ohh yes I find mine looks as good on it as they did on all the expensive varieties (as well as RAW) although they still have RAW here and there, Bryn has never eaten so well as he does the Skinners, he was a bit of a slow, fussy eater before but now there is no stopping him, also, their behaviour, energy everything seems all good on Skinners, it has cut my feeding bill down to half. | |

| Marley seems to be taking very well to Arden grange we havent had the runs like he did with the puppy food. His Poos are softer but pick upable not like the rock hard bricks he had with Royal Canin
The one major difference is we had one or two little bits of poo with royal canin now he has HUGE poos!!! but he seems a lot happier. I would love to try skinners but will stick to Arden grange for a while and try him later on | |
