i cant stop feeling guilty

because i cant go to see my mums husband in hospital ... im feeling really sorry for him, in there all by himself.... he hasnt even got any tobacco or spare clothes no one has been to see him and its his birthday tomorrow....

ive rang the hospital today and he was in his chair having a nap... hes still very confused and not with it... ive told them its his birthday tomorrow and they asked if i would be going to see him, its too far for me to go on the train at night its in stoke on trent.... if there was visiting hours in the day, i would go ...
ive posted him a card, and a drawing from tia, i wish now i'd put some tobacco in there, i might send him some in another parcel!!

his daughter has been told hes in hospital but as far as im aware shes hasnt beeen yet and she lives in stoke ... but im not sure if my mother has informed her of everything.... his eldest son is in london, i dont know if he knows that his dad is in hospital.... the only one who bothers with his dad, is in jail, i have rang today and left a message with the prison chaplain and im hoping he will ring his dad (hes and idiot and deserves to be in jail,but he loves his dad)

my mother has gone into self pity mode and cannot be arsed anymore... she winds me up when shes like that!!!!... she wont go visit cos she cant get there, and doesnt like travelling as it is.... she could beg a lift if she really really wanted too....but then she uses the excuse of the cat and that shes tired after all this,and everything is so much hassle... ....

awww no ...yer reckon they wont let him have his baccie .... if hes not allowed any, that makes me feel a little better tbh i know then that its no ones fault he hasnt got any... i just hate to think of him sleeping the day away cos he cant have a smoke....

I agree with what everyone has said hun They may not let him have the baccy as most hospitals now are no smoking, I know ours is though I shudder with embarrassment when i see patients with their Pj's on and slippers with drips in them standing on the boundaries of the hospital on the main road.

so they cant have a smoke anywhere on hospital grounds .... thats okay then .... i'll send him some fudge instead....

i know i shouldnt feel guilty but its hard not too when its normally me and the OH who rally round, cos his family dont bother...

my mothers just rang shes a nasty evil spiteful bitch and im glad hes in there out of her way....she makes me soooo angry i could f**king punch her!!! the horrid woman!!!!!

i know hilary... i cant help it though... i feel for the man , and i know if he comes home, my mum will end up driving him to an early death....hes by no means perfect but the poor sods in hospital

Atleast his daughter has been in to see him so hes getting a visiter and wont be alone on his birthday this sould make you feel happier and he will know that your thinking of him on his birthday when he gets his card

i know bren i do feel better knowing his daughter will be going to see him ... ive just been on the phone to my brother, hes told me to stop bothering about it too.... apparantly my mum told him that she doesnt want her husband home again ... were hoping that he doesnt want to go home to her ... im going to ring up tomorrow and wish him happy birthday and ask the nurse how he is really doing

my mum will probably ring in the morning full of apologies *rolls eyes*
