| Does anybody use one? Especially those of you who have longcoats I'm tempted to buy one but i'm not sure if they are suitable for longcoats BB's fur is so thick and he has curls that Shirley Temple would be proud off His coat was fine before he was castrated.. since then it's grown much longer, thicker and curly in places He always looks such a messy lad even though he is groomed daily.. just aswell he loves to be groomed i tell ya! Good or bad idea to buy one?? Thanks | |

| Marleys coat has become much thicker around his bum and his trousers since being castrated. I have a furminator and paid about £30 but find the rake I paid £5 for is much better. | |

| Some people say they are great hun but i've heard others saying they are useless especially on the long coats. They are a bit too pricey if you find you dont like it.Personally i wouldnt use one on Shadow. | |

| I have a rake that looks just like a furminator from Wilkinson's, it cost £2 or £3 and is brilliant for Bryn, Misty and Hazel | |

| Thanks all I've loads of grooming equipment, from rakes to slickers and anything inbetween I found a furminator on ebay... just under £7 If i buy it and it's crap.. not a great deal of money to lose Maybe i should just take him to the groomers... only trouble is, he's very untrusting of strangers | |

| Hi, I have a Furminator. It works well and takes the loose fur out of the coat like no other tool but I have found it to break the fur along the back. I therefore don't use it all the time, and prefer to use it on the soft fur which doesn't get damaged by the comb. Karen | |

| What does the rake look like Karen? Mine looks just like a furminator and it's dirt cheap goes through Bryn's and Misty coat brilliant and my friend has one for her husky cross and they love it as well, I tried the furminator and this works just as well for a fraction of the price | |

| i use a rake on Blaze - from pets at home - alot ov husky owners swear by the furminator tho but i think thats cuz twice a year huskies blow/shed their undercoat so it gets it all out quickly :) - yep we constantly eat fur lol | |
