but the roads from here up to Scotland are far too risky due to snow and ice

they are all gutted coz they booked their rooms in the Hotel a few weeks ago really
cheap, and the deal was that they didn't have to pay until today,
the catch for such a cheap deal was...
there is no cancellation or money back if they dont go, they take the money from your account whether you are there or not
and if the money is'nt in the bank they charge a daily fee until it is.

Scousers paying for something is un-heard of
but not getting anything for their money is.......

Downright f**king embarrassing
to say the least

What a shame they have to miss it but sensible they dont go with the way the roads are, better safe than sorry
