| we had a great day on the beach, lovely picnic in the sun, the tide was way out so loads of sand for Kala to dig holes in!! and about 6 people on the whole of the beach
We played for ages had a lovely picnic and there was a couple of bits of chicken left so I decided to do some training with Kala and Marley tagged along too. Ed was sitting quite away watching in the dunes. I didnt see 3 guys come up behind me, they were larking about and they had been drinking, Marley and Kala were doing what I was asking of them when one of the guys came up close and said if I do as Im told can I have some. At that point marley growled Barked and lunged at him and nudged him as much to say bugger off away from my mum!! The guy said whoa and backed off and the hurried on. Marley came straight to me when I called but he wasnt a happy lad. I didnt tell him off, I praised him for his recall but didnt tell him off for lunging at the guy. Do you think I should have? I think Marley thought he was protecting me, I dont think they were a threat but they were swaying and stinking of beer? | |

| Thanks I was hoping you thought I had done right! If Ed hadnt been on the dunes I would have been more wary especially on a very desserted beach but it is reassuring to know that Marley is very protective in those situations. | |

| I don't know what id 'officially' right JUde, but from my point of view, I wouldn't of told one of mine off :nhy: Plenty of people pass you all the time, street, beach, park whatever and Marley doesn't behave that way :nhy: he knew something was wrong with the cocky shithead acting a jerk and Marley just told him to F**k OFF, and leave his family alone Well done Marley I say :san50: :san50: | |

| It was the way he nudged the guy that got me, there was no attempt to bite, just a growl and a bark, his hackles were up, he lunged but nudged the bloke with his nose then backed off to see what the bloke was going to do thats when I called him back which he did still growling but job was done they soon hurried off. | |
