Sounds good Jan, I have booked marked that site, seems useful My first fish - Page 2 729386

I want some driftwood for my tank now, am changing it over to natural, have all live plants now bar 3 which will also be replaced soon, have you seen the price for driftwood :san41: I am not going to pay that sort of money for it, am going down Pembrey, there is loads of interesting bits down there, take the dogs for a nice beach run at the same time.

:2222: I juat have to do some reading now (unless Kenny can help me :whisteling: ) on how to 'cure' the driftwood before I put it in the tank

Yeah sandra, its crazy money they are asking although i am getting
a bit from the same shop as i got the plec, its quite big and its got a
plant growing from it,its £10 which i thought wasnt bad and its been in a
tank for a while so it will be ok.Kenny will know how you 'cure' the driftwood. My first fish - Page 2 729386

:2879: Found it, I need to boil it for several hours My first fish - Page 2 729386 then leave it stand in a container of water for 2 days for it to release the tannis, which apparently discolours your tank My first fish - Page 2 729386

Its only a small shop sandra but its only fish they sell and they are
really helpfull. Also they do exchanges on fish so if say you have one
thats outgrown your tank they will take it and give you others. My first fish - Page 2 729386

good link u posted Jan , if u check out clubs it gives u details of the kircaldy aquarist club i think its the only one left in fife ? not sure if they have had there show yet(held in a high school in kircaldy) great place to get fish as its an auction ,and u will get chance to get many fish that are very difficult to find in shops.
Sandra it will still tan ur tank a little even after curing (i think i put all mine in skip when we moved)

we have 5 mollies and 3 bale sharks which are my faves, therye absolutely gorgeous My first fish - Page 2 729386

were going to get some clown loach at the weekend

were also thinking of taking the fresh plants out, they look lovely, but theyre already looking tatty, we will replace them with real ones first and see how long they last, if it isnt long again, we will get plastic My first fish - Page 2 482195

clarence the clam is going strong, we had to free him from inbetween the rocks yesterday, he had been there two days before we realised he was stuck... gawd knows where he is today :2431:

the ones we have are shoal fish... so we got 3 and its great to see them all swimming round together... all though they have destroyed a plant... it has to be them, cos it was fine when just the mollies were in the tank :2431:
