definatley the second photo, but overall i love all sheps and think there is something attractive in all types ,

prefer two and three personally

personally none of these are my type as lovely as all three are i like your pure DDR,Czech lines the dutch lines als anything of working stock for me im afraid i LOVE black sables notsomething you will find in the how ring really lol

Out of the 3 I would say 2.

hard one, I prefer longcoats as well, out of the 3 it would be the first picture, but I have to say the head on the second pic is by far the nicest, also, I dunno if it's just the pic but the colour on the second pic is very good for me as well

i picked no 1 because the back is straighter and looks more normal to me.
but thats just what i like

Number 1 is a bit like Mimi but she has a larger head on her compared to the body.

just thought i would ask due to debate
going on with kc and the arguments on PDB
pic 1 is english breeding (alsation) pic 2 german type ,
pic 3 german lines (thats bliss at 3months attempting 1st free stand)

Remember the GSD is a german dog pics 2+3 comply with german standard and elswhere through out the world
the top pic is only accepted in uk (by certain people)and they will not show under german judge or european judge
Is the difference in type enough do you think for breed to be split one of the things wanted by videx kennel and a few other top uk kennels

but for me it would have to be 2 or 3.Imo no 1 is the worst shape of gsd
i have ever seen,sorry if i've offended anyone but thats just my opinion.

we all have our own opinions Jan, it would be a damned boring world if we all thought and liked the same. I like straight backs and longcoats I really dont like those real slopes to the extent on the bbc programme about the KC but its each to their own and personal preference. Maybe if I was into showing I would think differently.

i think the same as Jan but the other way round
straight backs look a lot better and the other 2 are bad shapes in my opinion

i like straight backs but in the form of the working type.

altho yes this is a german breed it has not been kept the same as it once was, the pic i put up is basically how the german shep used to look now it does not excist like that except in the working type IMO

the german show type IMo is a compleatly diff type of dog to what a GSD should be and once was. BUT i like has been said we all like diff things. i dont think splitting the dogs will make much diff IMO.

I think I prefer the working type more with the show temperament :2445: I dont do enough to satisfy a dog that wants to work. Mimi is happy with a bit of playing/training, a playfight with the others then an hour/hour and half walk a day. The rest of the time she lies down, same as the other two. Suits me fine.

I wouldnt ever get a dog purely on the way it looks, saying that, I have three here and I dont have a clue where any of them come from which is probably the way I always would do it so as far as temp goes, I would have to deal with whatever they came with.

I do love looking at GSD's though, in all shapes and sizes, something about them fascinates me more than many other breeds.

i dont go for looks first if i did i wouldnt have gone and got a mali lol

but i think czech,DDR sheps ect are stunning but not everyone will like them and thank f**k lol

I was looking online at some Czech a few months ago, they had some black ones who were gorgeous

i dont like any of them to be perfectly honest.
