| My mothers Dachie was PTS today, she took a good while as you know to make the final decision but felt he could never be trusted again, with her or her great grand-children, she spoke to 2 vets and a behaviourist about him and the conclusion by all was that this was the best thing to do. She will miss him so badly and there will be a part of her missing from now on. My Nephew took him for her and then took her flowers, which was lovely, we are (the whole family) from all over going to her house on saturday for a BBQ as it's her birthday on Monday, which she will love, as she thinks it's fabulous when we can all get together. R.I.P Danny be at peace now boy | |

| Your right Shell, she will be very lonely without him and she know it, it's just the company when going to bed and getting up, and besides his faults he was a very good watch dog, warning her of anyone around.
Before it got to this stage, she said when he goes she would never have another, but of course, she expected him to be around for a good few years yet, so she may change her mind, if she does, I will suggest a little rescue, older dog, who is in rescue through no fault of it's own, who misses the home life, and may be over-looked because of it's age.
However, I and the rest of the family must respect whatever she decides later on, as I suppose if I ever am in that situation, I wouldn't want my daughter thinking she knows best for me, it just seems sad to see her heartbroken and lonely, even though she has all us, we all go home after a visit, I have asked her to come live with me, but she likes her independance, which is natural. | |
