Is he good enough?

Ok so indie is having his hips and elbows x-rayed next week
as i would like to put him to stud but i need to get him scored first.
What i'm wondering is.....is he good enough
He comes from excellent bloodlines,his pedigree speaks for itself
but am i being biased cos he's mine,we all think our dogs are the best
So i'm asking all of you for your honest opinion and i would welcome your comments.

I am no expert Jan but you know what I think of him, I have always said what a manly looking lad he is, and if I had a bitch that I wanted to mate, I would be happy to have a handsome lad like him as the dad :love:

he is a lovely looking lad hun i agree and if his scores come back very low then health wise yes he should be fine but i would also get the nessacary bloods done too as they are extremly important hun before thinking about breeding

temperment wise i havent met indie, but i would only ever buy a dog off parents who are confident happy dogs social yet highly driven *my ideal lol*

so i would look at him and think is his temperment right also is he shy? does he show any signs of behaviours your not overly keen on ect ect

i was goning to title pup and breed from him my self as i had ppl who want pups off him for working but i dont like the extreme defence drive he possess so i have declined on doing this as this would pass through to his pups *which a lot of working and sport ppl want out of a mali* but i dont lol so you have to some times be sensible as you say no other dog will match up to indi hes your baby hun and i do think he is a lovely lad always have :love:

without seeing his pedigree and have never seen him in a show stand it is difficult to answer you on this the thing to do is put him to a female that has been bred from before preferably your own bitch if you can to help him gain confidence and experience in that field first then see what the pups turn out like after all you are wanting to improve on both parents at the end of the day if they do wrok out then you can broaden your network

i have him in a show stand but he was 8 months old at the time so he would look different
now,problem is i cant get the bugger to stand for me.

if you were to go by looks alone i would say yes for definate...hes a very handsome lad :love: .. if all is well after hes had his neccessary checks i would go for it hun

is your avatar him? if thats him at 8 months I can see nothing wrong he has a good lay of shoulder, front angulation is correct, he has good breadth of chest, good lay of croup hind angulation is good, good tail set, his overall conformation makes him look firm and dry, he has good pigmentation, head is masculine, he has no dip behind the whithers which is good, I like him very much, if you can get him to an experienced bitch see what the pups turn out like what you are wanting is for him to have points that will compliment him for the bitch so if she has a steep upper arm he will compliment her as he doesnt he has coreect angulation you look for things like that when I get people phoning me for toz I ask for the bitches picture and pedigree if I dont think it would work if I think she has too many faults for my liking i will say no also If i think her pedigree is too close I will say no, but then thats me and I tend to be fussy with my boy lol

pics there but theres none of him standing.

i havent a clue about his lines hun but i think hes lovely i only know working lines but from what everyone says about his he must be good
