I've heard something about burying bodies too, apparently there are rules on how deep and what to contain the body in etc but I dont know the specifics for dogs :nhy:

Dont think it means dogs. I know that my friends bury their horses on the farm but they're not supposed to. Something to do with water courses & pollution I think

my mum told the vet she wanted to take her dog home to bury, and they never said anything about it

think its just human bodies you have to be careful of burying in the garden :2431:

lmao @ karen......

a friends friend lost two of her dogs last year and she buried both of them in the garden, purely because she couldnt afford to have them cremated and the ashes bought back, and she didnt want them cremated and left for the vets to dispose of ... she wanted them home with her

you have to check with local council if this is allowed in ur area.

due to decaying body matter dogs etc have to be buried deep enough to prevent smells. is it illegal........................ 729386

Fazzas right about live stock this is supposed to be incinirated to prevent any disease (foot&mouth) etc

our old vet (yep the one that was struck off)
said we could'nt bury Saffie in the garden because she had cancer

i told him we could'nt bury Saffie in the garden because we dont have one

yea wen my lamb Bitzy was PTS we couldnt bring her home as its illigal they hd to take care of it so my mum paid 70 pounds which got her cremated too :2431: should have let my mate *a farmer* take care of it like he said lol

oh, i wasnt aware that you had to inform the council first!!... my mum has a little grave thing too for her dog ....maybe i should tell her to make it look less obvious in case someone from the council sees it!!........

they live in old folks bungalows too.... they might think shes buried her husband or hes buried her :2445:

its just i mentioned my grandad had a old english sheepdog in his garden and he has cats rabbits hamsters guinea pigs gerbils fish all buried in there 2 (and possibly 2 lizards i dunno what we did wit them when they died as i was rly young)
