i have found alot ov fish die if u buy them from pets at home ov something sooner then they shud i even had problems wit their guinea pigs got two baby guinea pigs and they only lasted for 7 months :cryyyyyy: i was devasted they were a bday pressie they died new yrs eve we got home god nos what time new yrs day n 1 was dead a couple ov weeks l8a the other one was aswell :cccc: n yet we got sum fish from a diff place (cnt think ov the name will have 2 find out a proper aquatics place tho i think) n weve had them for years :)

wee had two guine pigs from PAH and touch wood theyre ok, but the rabbit we got a couple of years back cost us hundreds to keep alive and it only lived for about 18mths, we had to have it pts in the end, it had a dental disease that couldnt be cured and would cost approx £70 every 6mths!! .... and most of the fish weve had from there die too tbh, we go to a garden and aquatic centre now for the fish! always double check what advice PAH give you too, they have often given me very wrong advice, i tend to look it up on the net first and then go and ask them, its nearly always wrong what they say especially on the weekend when you get the school kid staff in

I bought some Molly's today, the bloke said for me to buy salt for the tank as they are happier with it

oooh right, i never knew that.... what if you have other fish too, will the salt harm them

I asked him that and he said my guppy's and platy's will like it, I saked about my peppered cory's and he said they will be fine, it was only £1.38 for a box

i'll get some at the weekend, my OH is gona be proper pissed off that more are dying :2431:

hope u didnt use the whole box black mollies are almost brackish fish(in wild) and prefer salt in water ,it will not harm the other fish provided u have followed the correct dosage on box, it used to be about a teaspoon per gallon, i think i mentioned this on one of the other posts(about the black mollie)
A small amount in the water helps them but remember most are breed here now and u will not find the petshops using much salt in tanks as they contain other types as well

Followed the instructions on the box, will see how they do, *crossing fingers*
