I would prefer to have a problem with the cosmetics rather than hidden so there arent any surprises
My intention was to rip everything out anyway and we managed to get the price knocked down 18K to make up for that
Some people cant look past decor but i never
consider decor when buying a house
as long as i can get it at the right price
The size and situation of the house im more than happy with
The day after we moved in we did question whether it had been a mistake but now that we have started cleaning and ripping stuff out i do feel happier than i was in Ironbridge
Both myself and the dogs seem more relaxed over here
I can see it will be really nice once we decorate and put our own stamp on it
Luckily i dont have any riffy carpets to rip up
the only bit of carpet was in the loft room and we ripped that up and took it to the tip the first week we were in
everywhere else is either bare floorboards or really cheap badly fitted laminate
The lounge and the hall do have nice real wood flooring that im gonna keep and sand down
Its really unusual
i've never seen any like it before
its planks but they are only about 3 inches wide
My son is used to living in a s**t tip
hes a student
hes not due back until May or June so we will make sure his room is sorted by then
even he said it will be nice once its done up and likes the fact that his bedroom will be twice the size of the last one
He can finally get his drum kit put back up
The neighbours will be thrilled
