Hi guys do any of you that feel the BARF diet or other diets really feed your dog any additional supplements like garlic tablets etc been told they are good to keep fleas away??? just wondering what your thoughts are and what you all do???

just normal crushed garlic sue and how often?

the dogs get garlic in their livercake too, i would get the already crushed in a jar and just sprinkle a little, i'm not really sure but i think too much uncooked garlic is bad for them because its from the onion family maybe wrong

You are quite right with that. Everything in moderation. Garlic is very good for a lot of things and not just for animals, for us too but taken too much it can do long term damage to certain organs.

I just feed a dried working diet to most, puppy food to the puppies (duh!) and HT42D to bitches ready for mating. BUT I do add a natural probiotic yoghurt to everyones food including the puppies. Horse Cod Liver Oil for coat etc and the Hounds get Charcoal powder to bring their natural odour to a normal dog smell. Oh and I always add seaweed granules for pigmentation.
Nothing else apart from the odd Sheeps head (very smelly and not advisable in the house unless you want eyeballs rolling everywhere!!! lol)

i only add salmon oil, although i read somewhere than when giving samlon oil to add Vit E with it, something to do with the way its absorbed

my lot have glucosamine tablets every day
olive oil added to their food each day
and another tablet which does a multitude of things but i mainly get it because it reduces flatulence and thats for daisy
