| Never had a white spot on the pupil, I would get Zara to the vet just to be on the safe side, my mother's last dog scratched his eye by rubbing his face in the carpet and needed drops to help it clear, but I don't know if it was a white spot or just weeping, can't remember. | |

| Had Zara at the vet earlier and they have said that the white dot is a fat dot so i have to find out how much fat and oil is in the raw food i get and if there is a lot of fat in it i have to change her diet if its not the food they want to take a blood test to see if there is another underlying problem and i have to keep an eye on her eye. Also weighed Dusk and she is 32.5 and the vet is happy with her says one very healthy dog and her weight is fine.....and gorgeous...... So now going to do a bit of research on the net on the white fat dot....Anyone heard of this before????? | |

| seemingly its a sign that there is to much fat in her blood so they need to try and figure out where the fat is coming from so the first thing they look at is their diet and if not that to take her for blood tests... my poor girl i know its not bothering her but i hate when there is anything wrong with the pets!!!! | |

| vet phoned back and said i have just to feed Zara white meat chick and turk and fish for a month as they are low fat content and see if she looses any weight if she hasnt i have to take her for a blood test. I have to keep her off the red meat. Eh thick here what is tripe would that be ok to feed??? I can buy raw chicken and turkey but i am at a loss with the fish suggestions please?? She gets 454g of raw food a day would you say that is ok? Sorry for asking so many questions i will probably have more | |

| sardines & mackarel is fish i normally feed mine on but they are oily fish so not sure whether that would be suitable for Zara.
Found this about tripe... Green Tripe is the stomach lining of the cow's "fourth" stomach, or abomassum. The abomassum is where the actual digestion of the grasses and grains the cow has ingested takes place. Green tripe contains the partially digested plant matter the cow had eaten as well as the naturally occurring gastric juices and digestive enzymes.
hope that helps lorz. | |
