Arthritic collars for dogs

Hi girlies,

Our Brogan is starting to struggle getting up the stairs more and more these days. He can manage them but he seems to find it harder to reach the summit. I've just been browsing and wondered if any of you have or use these magnetic dog collars?

If you do have you found them of any benefit to our furry fluff balls?

I hate seeing him struggle , short of buying a stair lift for him I'd like to try alternative options. He has cod liver oil every day and tuna twice a week.

never used one but if you get 1 let me know what its like and if it helps my old boy bing's bad leg is playing him up abit n he gets rly stiff

bonnie wears one so did susie, i also have a magnetic kennel that i call the dog microwave rhutox and arnica are very good ,

I assume you'd recommend them then Sue Any particular brand u prefer?

Don't think our Brogan would fit in microwave

We'll go for the collar for now and will report back our findings

Sue's recommendation of arnica and rhutox i'm also going to try

good luck, but remember when they get some age on them , you can still expect some stiffness no matter what you buy to help ,

Ordered one yesterday from 'Magnets for all' cost £27 something inc delivery and is usually dispatched day after order has been received.

Told Brogan he's getting a new necklace but he doesn't seem too impressed We'll wait and see if we notice any difference

Well true to their word 'Magnets for all' dispatched the collar and we received it this am.

Brogan is now wearing it so will keep you posted if we notice any differences in his movements.

Also his rhostux turned up this am.

buggar the trend just want to get rid of old age aches and pains

A few drops of black pepper oil in the bath might help

A bit of an update::::::

Brogan has now had his collar for nearly a week and there is definately an improvement

His energy levels seem a lot better. He is starting to pull on the lead again which he hasn't done for a few years.

Usually when we are on our way home from our walk he is huffing and puffing and looking at you with doleful eyes cos he wants the lead on. Not anymore he more or less jogs his way home.

We are really pleased with his progress so far. He is so much brighter in himself which suggest that he is not in as much pain.

He still struggles on an evening getting up the stairs (ours are quite steep) after his evening snooze but don't we all

After the progress we've seen in him over the past week I would deffo recommend them even if it is just to ease the pain.
