| I used to walk one when i was around 18 years old, he was the laziest dog I've walked he walked behind me, and i had to drag him with me. he didn't care about other dogs, humans, kids or anything, it's the nicest dog I've ever walked until we met a cat, then the wild beast woke up, and he managed to drag me on my stomach about 10 meters before i manged to get hold of a tree..when he couldn't see the cat anymore he sat down beside me, and refused to walk back home. I never walked him again.. lol | |

| ive dealt with a lot of them my mate has a dane bull mastiff cross and as great as they are i just dont see the point in them dont mean to sound harsh but ppl breed them far too big now a days so they have a BUNCH of health issues die very young ect and have NO drive or are so uncontrolable the owners cant walk them well they are loving dogs my friends dog was a nigtmere in some ways but is great now but he had issues with other dogs walking on lead ect
but they are like any dog, like bev says lol good luck

- He's the only dog I have ever given up on Karen. We had him for about three years. He grew increasingly possessive of me and when I became pregnant my OH insisted that he had to go. He rehomed him with a friend of his down south & I cried for days cos I felt as if I had let him down. We went to see him a couple of years later. I walked out into the garden & he whimpered with excitement when he saw me.
OMG I am crying now just thinking of it! oh sorry bev dont cry  i been there too, so i know how you feel, and i dont think you gave up on him at all..you found him another loving home wich was best all around for you at the time, so be happy about that

| yea they were not bred THAT big to begin with again more for the show ring they are nice but just no point in them i dont think lol breed them smaller get rid of the health issues and you have a nice well functioning dog lol
yea bev my mates are into body building but this dog was HUGE met kiera shit itself was a right wuss but could be agressive with it lol hes sorted now tho thank god as too big a dog to piss around really
i think everyone makes mistakes in life its how you deal with them that matter i didnt start with shepherds i wasnt allowed my mum said start with a working lab *as we were both raised with them* if i can prove i can work him and control him then move up to the GSD mali ect my nan had sheps and my aunt bred them so my mum understood i needed the experience but trust me that doesnt mean there hasnt been times i wish i hadnt botherd getting rostam the heart ach that dog has caused me is mad and im not afraid to say that it doesnt make me less of a person nor does seeing you cant keep a dog and doing the responsable thing for you both and giving that dog another chance xx i actually thought i would have to have pup PTS he went to attack my dad one day and that too me is the biggest NO NO but we all agreed we would try and work through it but i said if i ever feel my family is in danger the dog goes and thats the way it will always be...

| Wow C test with a dane thats some going, They tend to be typical hounds, have no real intrest in what going on unless they fancy it,the nice thing is that for such a large dog not a huge amount of walking is needed, but they suit the comfort of the settee best | |
