i was thinking about this earlier... if we could maybe get enough of us, maybe we could do our own bit once a week, meet up and socialise our dogs ... i would ask a friend if she wanted to bring her dog...

and i'll bring the bite suit lol.... for when they start scrapping and someone has to pile in and sort them out :2431:

i was thinking the racecourse too!!... its ideal, you can scan the horizon for any enemies lol....

Email from trainers. I might do this anyway with Stan, he will enjoy it and is a little timid in some situations so it might give him a good base. I will reply and book a puppy place and ask her to send me info on other training incase Bev and Shelley are interested.

PUPPY SOCIALISATION / PRE BEGINNER COURSE

New course start date ---Wednesday 25 February 2009 At 7pm

Venue – Training hall Castlefield Kennels, 261 High Lane East, West Hallam. DE7 6HZ

The course lasts 6 weeks and is designed to get you started training your dog in a relaxed, positive atmosphere. The cost is £30 and is payable on the first evening please,( if paying by cheque please make payable to H Reynolds). All training is carried out using kind, fair and effective methods with the emphasis on motivating your dog to behave in an acceptable manner around people and other dogs.

Topics to be covered include –

Puppy proofing to prevent problems
Socialisation skills
Early learning
Dog manners
Dog MOT. and health.

Things to bring with you-

YOUR DOG
Tit bits- these can be dry food, bits of cheese, cooked chicken, cooked sausage. Keep the pieces tiny so that the dog can swallow them straight away.
Collar- either buckled or with chain loop in the collar. NO CHOKE CHAINS PLEASE.
Lead – normal lead, not a flexi lead.
First week only- Vaccination certificate.
Toy.

On successful completion of the course you will be presented with a certificate and will be eligible to go onto the Kennel Club Good Citizen courses.

no i thought that lol wounder if you actually do a lot of training in it as some ppl dont with pups they do more chatting and letting the pups play i prefer to train them asap

but i think stan will love it
