| Hello Right i need some advice. We have had a cat living in the yard (car breakers) at work for some time now, but you very rarely see it. Recently the cat had our bins out looking for food so i decided to start feeding the lil cat, i thought was a tomcat. I brought a lil bowl and some cat biscuits. We thought the cat was called henry, our local egg farm said they used to feed him, so i have been calling the cat Henry. Each day Henry has got braver and braver with us being around. He/she is a very nervous cat and will run and hide from any noise. He/she is eating very lil bit of food put out. The last few days Henry has been waiting by the bowl in the mornings, which can be a pain when i bring Viva to work but anyway today we tried to touch Henry for the first time and realised its a lil girly cat. Seems she enjoys having a stroke and a rub behind the ears lol. She is very skinny, when stroking her you can feel every bone in her lil body sticking out. When she is a bit braver i would like to try and get her to the vets for a check up, but until then is there anything i could give her to help build her up or anything she needs as ive never had to look after a cat before. Sorry for the waffling post lol | |

| when my sister in law wanted to feed her cat up after she had been ill.... she got some milk from the vets... the same sort you would nurse orphaned kittens with i think ..other than that, just keep feeding her as you have been doing... my neighbour feeds 2 stray cats...and theyre very skinny but healthy enough | |

| My cat is getting nice and fat on the dogs RAW food She loves it and her coat is lovely and shiney The vets also sell food that is high in protein etc for building pets up when they have been ill Might be worth putting a worm tablet in the food aswell just incase she has worms Hopefully you can build her up a bit she will probably need the extra weight to get thru the winter | |

| Thanks for the replies Im gonna get some worming tablets for her/him. Ive brought in a lil kennel and cushion that my mum had in the garage. Also someone gave me some more food for him/her. Well i got to work and Chris had her in the office with him, she was wandering around the office adn wouldnt leave him alone, but because i have got Viva with me she had to go back outside as Viva wants to eat her I got a piccy of her, i'll put it in the photo room | |

| Well i wormed her and put flea stuff on her and she spent most of last week in the office. She has become over affectionate now, she wont leave us alone, you cant get any work done as shes always nuzzling for a stroke lol After a think we have decided try and find her a home, or phone cats protection as over the xmas period we wont be here to feed her, so i'd prefer if she was taken away to be rehomed so i know at least she'll be somewhere in shelter and being fed | |

| It would be great if she found a new forever home she obviously wants and loves attention by the sound of it so it would be better if she has a proper home You wont have to worry about her then Sounds like you have really done well bringing her out of her shell It will make it easier to find her a new home | |

| I know how hard it is to get them to take cats, I had the same problem Steff when I had a litter of kittens in the shed, poor mites, I couldn't get them into rescue for love nor money, second time it happened I told them porkies to make them come and get them | |
