New girl

Chloe's BF has adopted a dog from the City Dogs Home in Stoke. Its a 12 month old Staffie who found herself without a home when her owners got bored with her. Apart from being somewhat manic atm she seems quite sweet. She had a great time haring round the kitchen with Todd and decided she was quite capable of taking on Sly & Nico at the same time!!

She's not particularly impressive on the lead though & she jumps up at you when she wants your attention. She doesn't appear to have been ill treated (although she is a bit wary of men initially), just ignored.

I did a bit of digging on the i/net & this particular home doesnt seem to have a very good rep, although the posts were 12 months ago. However, they did come and do a home check and she has had her first jab and they gave Joz a diet sheet when he collected her. Chloe said the place seemed fairly clean, just a bit run down.

Awwww she sounds like she will be a lovely dog. TBH, I'd rather rescues were a bit rundown and look after the dogs they have than spend all their donations on their offices and not give the dogs more care

Isla qualified for a 3DE over there so Chloe is grooming for her. They've hitched a lift with Jeanette Brakewell, Chloes old boss, cos she lives near here & it cuts down on costs.

Apparently, the riders & grooms get all their food included in the entry fee and as much Grolsch as they can drink!!

Jeanette is great, as long as you do everything properly. She's really down to earth & helped Chloe a lot.

bet chloes having a ball over there, i want to go to holland to take rostam for some training and to look at horses of course lol

I know a lot of people who go to Holland to buy horses which is why our own breeding industry struggles. I cant see the need really. The Irish know as much about breeding horses as anyone. (says she, whose favourite was from Belgium!! )

i know we breed some really good horses ove here but always end up selling them overseas lol

i would like a spanish breed next really altho i will prob end up with another rescue
